Happy Birthday to Me!

Yes! Another birthday! Haha. Today's my Birthday and I'll likely go out a big part of the day so if I don't update for the rest of today - know that I'm out partying, lol. Hopefully I'll get back to the computer later tonight and update! It's been great here and I hope to have more Birthdays with everyone who visits the blog! I'm off. Have a nice day. ;)

Day26- "Since You've Been Gone" [Music Video]

Day26 have premiered the music video for "Since You've Been Gone" - second single taken from their self-titled debut album. The song is a smooth R&B track, not what I tend to listen to, but to those who like this kind of music will find the song great.

Also, expect to see this group and Danity Kane on a new season of MTV's Making The Band 4 to begin airing later this summer.

Box Office Report: WALL-E Goes to #1

That's right. As expected, Disney Pixar's WALL-E has taken the top spot in the Box Office this weekend making $62 million over the past few days. The film is the third highest debut for a Pixar film behind Finding Nemo (2003) and The Incredibles (2005) which debuted with $75 million each. If anybody wants to go watch WALL-E, all I gotta say is: Do it! The movie is incredible... perhaps one of the absolute best animated movies I've seen in a while.

Not too far at #2 we find Angelina Jolie in Wanted. The action-packed film managed to gross a great $50 million over the weekend, making enough for a #2 debut.
To check out a full list for this weekend, click here.

Miley Cyrus- "7 Things" [Music Video]

And there's a new Miley Cyrus music video! She's released the video for "7 Things" - single taken from her upcoming album Breakout. The song and video are very Avril Lavigne circa 2002 and I guess it's working for Miley because the song is one of the most downloaded lately. Check out the video above.

Another Idol Contestant Dropped!

The DownFall of American Idol Contestants is getting stronger by the minute! Who has been dropped? Well, Season 3 winner Fantasia Barrino. The singer has been dropped by her management team, 19 Entertainment. Fantasia is still signed to J Records, but without a management team to back her up, it's only a matter of time until her record label drops her too. Sad stuff.

Hitting the Big Screen Today! (June 27)

The time has come! I've been talking about WALL-E for a while now and the film has finally hit the big screen. The Disney Pixar film was received greatly by film critics and is expected to make one of Pixar's biggest number one debuts. Let's see how much it brings in.

Another great film hitting theatres today is Wanted starring Angelina Jolie. This film has also gotten great reviews from critics and I guess I'm going to have to see two movies tonight. Check out the theatrical posters of each movie above.

2008 MTV Video Music Award Go to Hollywood

I know we all remember the disaster of MTV Video Music Awards that took place last year in Las Vegas. Well, thankfully I can say I won't be watching these awards this year as they have announced that they will take place on Hollywood and will not have a main stage, instead... the awards and performances will happen in rooftops, soundstages and city streets! What kind of awards are these? Anyway, the awards will air on September 7th. Watch if you want another trainwreck of awards show.

+44- "When Your Heart Stops Beating" : VOTW

It's Friday! Time for a new video of the week! Going back to 2006 this time, when +44 released the single "When Your Heart Stops Beating". This group was formed by former Blink-182 members Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker after Tom DeLonge left the group in 2005. About this single, it's a great song, it was one of my favorites from that year. Too bad it failed to do better in the charts, but well. Check it out! *MP3 available upon request*

WALL-E Opens Tomorrow To Amazing Reviews

I'm sure we all can't wait to go out and watch WALL-E as soon as it hits the big screen tomorrow (June 27) in the US. The Disney Pixar film has received near universal acclaim from film critics - and it has become one of the best-rated movies of the past times! Rotten Tomatoes, which are usually pretty harsh with reviews, reported that 98% of critics gave the film positive reviews, based upon a sample of 45 reviews. Furthermore, The Hollywood Reporter declared that with WALL-E Pixar had surpassed the achievements of its previous eight films, saying that the film had "all the heart, soul, spirit and romance of the very best silent movies" and that the filmmakers "punch across their terrific (and ecologically sound!) story by inventing a visual and aural language with which these robotic creatures can express a rainbow of emotions." He said the visual design was "arguably Pixar's best" and he praised Stanton's creation of "two fantastically imaginative, breathtakingly lit worlds" (a ruined Earth city and a human spaceship). Again, WALL-E opens tomorrow June 27th and it is expected to make a massive box office debut over the weekend. I Can not wait any longer to watch this!

Lindsay Lohan Update

Lindsay Lohan has released new imformation about her upcoming album and single! Everyone's heard that song called "Bossy"... well apparently, that was just a pre-single as the real first single will be a song called "Playground" that features rapper Pharrell. This single should hits radios in September. About the lbvum you ask? Well, the has been announced to be Spirit in the Dark and will hit stores on November 4th. Can't wait? I'm sure we can. Haha.

Hot Pick: Juanes- "Tres"

For all my Latin visitors! Here's the new music video for "Tres" - third single released from Juanes' album La Vida... es un Ratico. Great song, check it out.

Natasha Bedingfield's "Pocketful" Goes Top 5!

For the first time sincer her 2006 smash single "Unwritten", British singer Natasha Bedingfield found her way back to the Top 5 of the Billboard Hot 100 with her newest single "Pocketful of Sunshine", which has climbed 6-5 this week making this one Bedingfield's second Top 5 entry in the US. The song has also sold over 1.4 million digital downloads getting closer to a double platinum certification - just like "Unwritten" had. Huge success for this girl, and I'm sure her upcoming single "Angel" will be another hit as well. Can't wait for that.

Katy Perry Scores a Billboard #1 Hit

Who knew this song would hit so hard? Katy Perry has been added to the list of artists who have scored a Billboard Hot 100 number one single! Her song "I Kissed a Girl" has taken America by storm and has now topped the most important chart in the US. So very interesting. Congrats to Katy perry for the massive success of her single. Also, her debut album One of the Boys has made a debut at #7 on the Billboard 200 selling just under 50,000 copies.

TLC & Alicia Keys- "Waterfalls" @ BET Awards

For the first time in a ver long time, TLC returned to the stage to perform their biggest single "Waterfalls". Alicia Keys shortly replaced Lisa "Lefteye" Lopes, who, as we all know sadly passed away in 2002 after being involved in a car crash. The performance was great... perhaps my favorite from the bunch. It's good to see the girls from TLC back on stage. Check it out.

Lil Wayne Medley @ BET Awards

Lil Wayne, who recently celebrated a #1 album debut selling over a million copies in a week, performed a Medley of three songs at the BET Awards including "Got Money", his hit single "Lollipop" and "A Milli". Check it out.

Rihanna- "Take a Bow" @ BET Awards

Here's Rihanna performing "Take a Bow" - one of her chart-topping singles live at the BET Awards. Enjoy.

Ne-Yo Live @ BET Awards

I usually don't like Ne-Yo's music, but this song has something that I like and I don't know what it is exactly. Here's Ne-Yo performing his new single "Closer" live at the BET Awards yesterday. Great freakin' song. Enjoy.

Usher- "Love in This Club" Live @ BET Awards

I'll be posting a handful of the BET Awards performaces. First off here is Usher performing his #1 hit single "Love in This Club". Great performance.

Jessica Simpson Live @ The View

Jessica Simpson performed her new Country hit single "Come on Over" this morning live at The View. I must admit that the performance was not the best, I feel like the back-up singers were louder than they needed to be, but the son is still great so it balances out. Check out the performance above. Don't forget that this single is already available on iTunes and it's currently at #3 on the iTunes Top Country Songs.

Cover for Kellie Pickler's New Single

The cover for Kellie Pickler's new single has been released! The picture is not exactly new, but works perfect for the single's cover. "Don't You Know You're Beautiful" is the first single released from Pickler's upcoming September album release... but like always, while we wait, head on over to iTunes and purchase the single which is available now!

Coldplay's Huge Number One Debut

It's been many years since the industry witnessed two huge first-week sales numbers in a row. Last week, Lil Wayne debuted at #1 selling over a million copies of his album Tha Carter III in a single week... and well, this week, we've got another huge debut. This time, from Coldplay! The groups album Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends will make a #1 debut on the Billboard 200 chart having sold 730,000 copies in just one week! Incredible! Not only that, their single "Viva la Vida" is also found at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. But, where's Lil Wayne this week? He falls to #2 having sold another 285,000 copies... it's quite a big drop from last week's million copies.

Danity Kane Live @ Nashville Star

Bad Boy's Danity Kane performed their monster single "Damaged" live yesterday at Nashville Star. It's been quite a while since this song was released and I wish they'd move on to "Bad Girl" already, but I guess they're juicing every drop out of this single, which has become massively successful - in fact, their biggest single yet. Check out their performance above, they looked sexy! Enjoy.

Jessica Simpson Changes Name of New Album

It was reported that Jessica Simpson's debut country album would be released by the title of Sippin' on History... but that's now changed, as the singer mentioned on a few radio interviews that the album title will be Do You Know? - which is also the title of a track included on the album in which Jessica sings a duet with Dolly Parton, who also wrote the song. Interesting. The album will hit stores on September 9th, but, while we wait, head on over to iTunes and purchase her current single "Come on Over" available for download today.

The DownFall of American Idol Contestants, Pt. II

Remember when I posted about the DownFall of the American Idol Contestants a while ago? Well, this isn't stopping any time soon. Season 6 runner-up Blake Lewis joins the already large list of dropped Idols which include winners Rubben Studdard and Taylor Hicks and the runner-up Katharine McPhee. Blake Lewis, who released AudioDayDream in December has been dropped by Arista Records for poor album sales and for not scoring a charting single. It's sad, absolutely. His last shot at sales revival was during his live performance of his single "How Many Words" at American Idol during the past season... which resulted in no acceptance. If I'm to make a prediction... the next dropped Idol will be Season 6's finalist Phil Stacey who is currently signed to Lyric Street and released a country album that made a debut at #43 and has only old about 30,000 copies in total.

Although these Idols are being dropped, we can expect new sure-to-be hit albums by Season 5's Kellie Pickler who will release her sophomore album in September and season 7's winner David Cook, who will release his major-label debut album this fall.

Taylor Swift Live @ TRL

Does anyone watch TRL anymore? Well... those who still do, you know that Taylor Swift was there last week to co-host and also perform. During Thursday's episode, the singer performed a couple of songs including "Picture to Burn" taken from her newly certified Triple Platinum self-titled debut album. Check it out.

Hot Pick: Weezer- "Pork and Beans"

"Pork and Beans" serves as the lead single from Weezer's self-titles sixth studio album which is also unofficially known as The Red Album, in stores now. The single is currently sitting at number one on the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart now for the sixth week in a row. This marks the third Weezer single to reach the #1 on this chart after 2005's "Beverly Hills" and 2006's "Perfect Situation", both from the album Make Believe. About the video for "Pork and Beans"... well, words can't describe its creativity. Check it out, you'll really like it if you don't already. I'm loving this one.

Weekend Box Office Report: The Love Guru Flops

When a movie is bad, you just know it. Despite having a massive amount of promotion over the past three months, The Love Guru starring Mike Myers, Jessica Alba and Justin Timberlake only managed to collect an extremely dissapointing 14 million dollars on its opening weekend, debuting just at #4! Sad. The movie that did make a high debut at #1 was Get Smart, which pulled in a great $40 million, this movie actually had little promotion compared to that of The Love Guru, yet it made quite a nice debut on top.

Moving on to #2, we find Kung Fu Panda, film that on its third week collected $21.7 million for a total of $155 million so far - impressive.

The Incredible Hulk falls to #3 collecting 21.5 million dollars on its second week for a total so far of $96 million. Not bad.

One film did cross the $300 million dollar mark this weekend, and that's Iron Man - which was released last month to a huge opening and on its eigth week, the film now stand at $304 million thanks to the extra $4 million that it grossed this weekend. Now, get ready for this: The film's total worldwide stands at an incredible 555 million dollars! Oh, but that's not the biggest numbers we found this week. Harrison Ford's Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull has collected a ridiculous $650 million worldwide so far. Unbelieveable!

Next week comes Disney Pixar's Wall-E which is expected to debut with big numbers as well. Can't wait for that one.

Video of the Week: Chad Kroeger- "Hero"

Going back to 2002, year when Spider-Man hit the big screen to huge box office numbers and with it followed the chart-topping single "Hero" from the movie's soundtrack performed by Chad Kroeger the lead singer of Nickelback featuring Josey Scott the lead singer of Saliva. The song was one of the best from that year, and it continues to be one of my favorite songs taken from any movie. It's simply great. Check it out! *MP3 available upon request*

Jonas Brothers- "Burnin' Up" [Music Video]

I just posted the single cover, and here's the newly-released Jonas Brothers music video for "Burnin' Up", which like I said, is the first single released from their upcoming third studio album called A Little Bit Longer to hit stores August 12th. The song is good, it's what you'd expect from a boy-band targeting an audience of tween girls... and it works for them. Check it out.

Out on the Big Screen Today

Two big comedies hit the big screens today. None really caught my attention so I guess I won't be watching either one of these. But here they are anyway.
First up, the Mike Myers comedy - The Love Guru. This movie has been getting heavy promotion for a couple of months now, let's see if it pays off after the numbers come in this weekend. The film also stars Jessica Alba and Justin Timberlake.
And finally, Get Smart also opens today. The film is an adaptation of the 1960s spy parody show of the same name. This film stars Steve Carell, Anne Hathaway and Dwayne Johnson. Check out the movie poster above.

Cover for Jonas Brothers' New Single

"Burnin' Up" will serve as the first single taken from A Little Bit Longer - Jonas Brothers' third studio album to be released in August. Here's the single cover above. Check it out.

Cover for Danity Kane's New Single

It's seems as it was forever since the girls from Danity Kane released their chart-topping single "Damaged", which continues to receive a massive amount of airplay despite being release months ago. Finally, it looks like the group is going to move on to the second single from their Gold-certified album Welcome to the Dollhouse. The track called "Bad Girl" features rapper Missy Elliott and is expected to hit radios in coming weeks. It's also been announced that a new season of Making the Band will begin airing this August on MTV and will focus on the Making the Band 4 Tour featuring Danity Kane and Day26. Check out the single cover above. Can't wait for a music video!

Carrie Underwood Vitamin Water Commercial

The new commercial for Carrie Underwood promoting Vitamin Water has already made its way to the airwaves. The commercial has beung rotation on TV, while her commercial with rapper 50 Cent has begun airing on the big screen as part of the pre-movie commercials and trailers. The commercial on TV is quite funny... "She kinda makes every man want to be a minature horse" haha. Nice. Check it out.

The Real World Goes to Brooklyn!

After the success of the twentieth season of MTVs The Real World: Hollywood, the producers have announced that for the next season, filming will be in New York for the first time since the show's tenth season The Real World: Back to New York. This time, though, the season will be called The Real World: Brooklyn and will air on MTV later this year. While we wait, expect a new season of a Real World/Road Rules challenge to air this summer.

Lil Wayne Makes Huge Debut

With the highest weekly sales figure since 2005, Lil Wayne crashes in at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 with Tha Carter III. The set moved just over 1 million copies in the United States, the first time the six-figure threshold was crossed since 50 Cent's The Massacre in March 2005. Lil Wayne's past albums Tha Carter I and Tha Carter II sold 1.3 and 1.8 million copies respectively. Congrats to Wayne for the huge numbers.

Fourth Single from Underwood's 'Carnival Ride'

The title of the fourth single taken from Carrie Underwood's multi-platinum album Carnival Ride has been announced! After her current single "Last Name" hit number one on the Billboard Hot Country Songs, Carrie and her label are ready to move on to her next single and future #1 hit, which will be the ballad "Just a Dream". A powerful ballad for which she's already shot the music video. Check out the song above in a fan-made YouTube video. It's an amazing song with a very powerful message. I couldn't be happier with the single choice. Enjoy.

Ashlee Simpson- Bittersweet World Outtake

Ashlee-star.com has posted a new photo taken from Ashlee Simpson's Bittersweet World album photoshoot. The album only managed to sell 95,000 copies in the US becoming a commercial failure. Her past albums Autobiography and I Am Me sold 3 million and 1 million copies respectively. What's behind the failure of Bittersweet World? Which was actually her highest-rated album yet... I guess we'll never know.

Carrie Underwood's Tour Extends - Again!

The excitement and overwhelming demand from fans for tickets to Carrie Underwood’s headline tour, the “Carnival Ride Tour,” is no surprise. As one of the hottest country tours on the road this year, additional dates have been added through December. Shows beginning September 23 will feature special guest Little Big Town.

600,000 fans have been a part of the “Carnival Ride Tour” audience to date. Underwood will hit 51 cities in the U.S. and Canada this fall, in addition to her wrapping the current leg with opening act Jason Michael Carroll ending June 24. She will also play a select number of fairs and festivals this summer.

Underwood was recently inducted as the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry and named Top Female Vocalist at the 2008 Academy of Country Music Awards for the second consecutive time. Her current album CARNIVAL RIDE, which contains the #1 co-written smash hits “So Small,” “All-American Girl” and “Last Name,” was certified double-platinum within 2 months of its release. Her debut album, SOME HEARTS, was certified 7x-Platinum, becoming the best-selling solo female country debut in RIAA history and surpasses all other releases as the all-time U.S. top-selling album by any American Idol contestant.

Little Big Town released platinum-selling record, THE ROAD TO HERE, in 2005 which included gold digital certified, “Boondocks.” In 2006, the foursome landed two Grammy nominations including Best Country Album for THE ROAD TO HERE and Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group for “Boondocks.” Billboard Magazine also named them Independent Artist of the Year and named THE ROAD TO HERE Independent Album of the Year. In 2007, they were awarded Academy of Country Music’s Top New Vocal Group. The band’s sophomore CD, critically-acclaimed A PLACE TO LAND, will be re-released on Capitol Nashville October 14th. Box Office Report: Incredible Hulk is Número Uno!

That's right. Opening at #1 this weekend is The Incredible Hulk, and although the numbers were lower than expected, they were more than enough to secure the film a number one debut, grossing $54 million over the past three days. At number two we find Kung Fu Panda that managed to collect a great $34 million on its second week of release. The films current total stands at an incredible $117 million. Awesome. Now, making a debut at #3 we find The Happening, film that grossed a cool $30 million, not too bad. It's already made back of its budget. Out next week will be The Love Guru and Get Smart , but the one I'm really waiting for is Disney Pixar's Wall-E coming out June 27! Can't wait for that one.

Click here to check out a full report.

Pussycat Dolls- "When I Grow Up" [Music Video]

The Pussycat Dolls have released the music video for their song "When I Grow Up" - lead single from their upcoming and very awaited-for album To Those Who Wait. The video is everything you'd expect from the Dolls, sexy all around. These girls are going to make me have a heart attack one of these days. The dance break in the middle of the video is sick! Check it out, awesome video.

Enrique Iglesias- "Can You Hear Me?" [Video]

No, this is not an album single. "Can You Hear Me?" will serve as the official anthem for the 2008 UEFA European Football Championship, or else known as the Euro 2008. The tournament will be held in Austria and Switzerland, and like I said, Enrique Iglesias recorded this single as the official song for the championship. It's a good song, check it out.

Update: Video was taken down by his Record Company. Sorry 'bout that. You can still watch the video by clicking here. Enjoy.

Out on Theatres Today! 6/13

The Incredible Hulk has been released to the big screen today! The film follows Banner as he flees the pursuit of General Ross while attempting to find a cure to rid himself of the Hulk. When Blonsky personally volunteers to be injected with Banner's gamma formula to aid Ross in his capture, he becomes an even greater monster, and Banner must accept his inner beast to defeat Blonsky. Interesting, can't wait to watch this one. I see it opening with huge numbers this weekend. Click here for movie's Trailer.

Another film opening today is The Happening. The plot revolves around a pandemic of unknown cause that is spreading across the northeast of the US, mysteriously within well-defined borders. Victims experience loss of speech and physical disorientation; they freeze, and then unfreeze to commit suicide: people jump from buildings, shoot or hang themselves, one feeds himself to lions in the zoo, some cut themselves with a hairpin, barbed wire, glass, or a grass mower, drive into a tree, etc. The protagonist, a science teacher named Elliot Moore (Mark Wahlberg), flees together with his estranged wife, Alma Moore (Zooey Deschanel) and the 8-year-old daughter Jess (Ashlyn Sanchez) of Elliot's best friend, Julian (John Leguizamo), a math teacher, while Julian tries to reach his wife. The rest of the film follows them on their journey. They travel by train until the train stops at a small station, and train services are discontinued. Then they get a ride, and after that proceed on foot. Click here for movie's Trailer.

Which one to watch? I guess I'll have to go see both this weekend. Check out the movie trailers. Enjoy.

Jewel- "I Do" [Music Video]

Jewel has released the music video for "I Do" off of her album Perfectly Clear - in stores now. This song is the follow up to the chart-topping hit "Stronger Woman" and has already begun taking off in country charts. I really like this song, I easily see it going up higher than her previous single. Jewel's debut country album also made a debut at #1 on the Billboard Hot Country Albums chart. Congrats to her. Enjoy the video, it's great.

Hot Pick: Sugarland- "All I Want to Do"

I've been listening to this song for weeks and I just now came to realize that the music video had already been released. Shame! Country duo Sugarland have scored another Top 20 hit with their song "All I Want to Do" - lead single from their upcoming July 22th release Love on the Inside. This song is catchy, and the video is just simply the perfect summer video, check it out. You'll like it.

Ashlee Simpson for Giant Magazine

Mom-to-be Ashlee Simpson has done a photoshoot spread to be featured in the upcoming issue of Giant Magazine. I think she looks wonderful in these pictures. I'm still angry at the fact that there will be no more singles released from her album Bittersweet World. There were a lot of great choices that are now, obviously, waste. Too bad! Check out the pics above.

Lindsay Lohan - New Face of Visa Swap

Lindsay Lohan will be the new face of Visa Swap and here are the new photos to be in print ads soon. Lindsay looks incredible, but we men have to resign now that Lindsay's been having a lesbian affair. :( What a waste! Check out the pics above. Stunning.

Gavin Rossdale "Love Remains the Same" Hot Pick

You might know Gavin Rossdale as the lead singer of the group Bush or for being the husband of Gwen Stefani and father of her two children. Now Gavin is giving the solo carreer a try and has just released his album Wanderlust. The lead single from that album is the track called "Love Remains the Same", it's a great song, but it struggled to catch on at radios, unfortunately. I still think it's a great song and a great album. Check out the music video above. Enjoy.

Carrie Underwood Scores 7th Consecutive #1

The #1 hits don't stop for Carrie Underwood! This week, Underwood scores her seventh consecutive number one hit with her newest single "Last Name". Her past #1's unclude her 2005 debut "Jesus, Take The Wheel", "Don't Forget to Remember Me", the cross-over hit "Before He Cheats", "Wasted", the lead single from her sophomore album "So Small", "All-American Girl" and now "Last Name". Congratulations to Carrie for such massive success, she deserves it all. Seven number ones in a row is amazing.

New Kids on the Block- "Summertime" [Video]

New Kids on the Block are back with their first single in fourteen years. They're now more like, the really old dudes on the block. Haha. The quintet made a comeback and released their new single "Summertime" to radio and has been climbing steadily. The song is very catchy and perfect for the summer. The music video features them on different scenarios, is the typical all-boy band music video. Check it out, it's cool. By the way, their album is currently set to hit stores this September under the tentative title Back on the Block.

Box Office Report: Kung Fu Panda Starts at #1

Kung Fu Panda makes splashing debut at #1 on this weekend's top box office debut! The Dreamworks film starring Jack Black grossed in $60 million over the past few days making enough to fall right in at #1. The film is great, I definitely recommend it for all ages and anyone who really wants to watch it!

You Don't Mess with the Zohan also makes a great debut at #2 bringing in $40 million. Together, the top two spots grossed 100 million dollars! Impressive. The comedy film starring Adam Sandler has already made half of its budget. Great news to them.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull falls one spot to #3 still taking in $22 million to add to their now total of 253 million dollars. Talk about a summer blockbuster! The film's total worldwide stands at an impressive $520 million! This film is on its way to being one of the highest grossing films of all times. Harrison Ford must be beyond happy.

Sex and the City fall three spots to #4 but managed to take in a very good $21 million, their total now is of $100 million, which is way more than they expected to collect.

Iron Man is another of this year's huge movies. This weekend, the film is found at #6 adding to its now total of $288 million! The movie's worldwide gross is of $530 million, this film is right up there with Indy. Crazy numbers!

Jordin Sparks- "One Step at a Time" [Music Video]

American Idol champ, Jordin Sparks has released the music video for "One Step at a Time" - third single from her self-titled debut album. Although Jordin has had two massive Top 10 Platinum singles in a row ("Tattoo" and "No Air") her album remains the second lowest-selling debut album from any American Idol winner having sold nearly 800,000 copies since its release last year. The lowest-selling album continues to be season five's winner Taylor Hick's self-titled debut which sold 702,000 copies and launched no charting singles. Now, the new single is good and the video is just OK, but I feel like if "No Air" couldn't get the album past the million copies mark, I doubt this single will do it. I just think she played it too safe for her debut... let's hope her albums sales rise with any upcoming singles. For now, check out the brand new video above.

For those concerned, here are the American Idol winners debut album sales:
1. Kelly Clarkson- "Thankful" (2,700,000 copies sold)
2. Ruben Studdard- "Soulful" (1,800,000)
3. Fantasia Barrino- "Free Yourself" (1,700,000)
4. Carrie Underwood- "Some Hearts" (6,500,000)
5. Taylor Hicks- "Taylor Hicks" (700,000)
6. Jordin Sparks- "Jordin Sparks" (800,000)

Other high-selling alumni debuts:
1. Clay Aiken- "Measure of a Man" (2,800,000)
2. Daughtry- "Daughtry" (4,010,000)

Kellie Pickler and Taylor Swift Team Up for Song

Kellie Pickler is teaming up with fellow country star Taylor Swift for a new song on the former Idol’s upcoming album.

On the track, the singers mine some ex-boyfriend territory for a get-back tune called “Best Days of Your Life”. Although Pickler is mum about exactly which ex the song refers to, she tells People, “You have to be careful when you date a songwriter. We always get the last word!”

While we wait to hear that track, let's focus on Kellie's current single "Don't You Know You're Beautiful", which continues to climb country radio slowly but steadily. Again, expect the album to hit stores this fall.

Can't wait to hear that song, I've got a feeling it will end up being Pickler's biggest hit yet (if released as a single.)
