Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 crossed the $900 million worldwide mark on Wednesday, its 15th day in release. That made Harry's last stand the fastest movie ever to reach that milestone, breaking Avatar's 18-day record.
On Wednesday, Deathly Hallows Part 2 brought in $24.7 million worldwide ($5.2 million from domestic and $19.5 million from foreign), lifting its total to $906.8 million. It climbed to 19th place on the all-time chart, jumping past Goblet of Fire's $896.9 million final haul.
The first Harry Potter, Sorcerer's Stone, still ranks as the top-grossing with $974.8 million, while only Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides and Transformers: Dark of the Moon slot higher for 2011 with $1.03 billion and $926.1 million, respectively. Deathly Hallows Part 2 is on course to join the $1 billion club by early next week.
50 Cent has canceled his new album because he never wants to work with Interscope records again.
Here are some of his heated tweets:
"Man I'm not releasing a album i can't believe interscope is this fucked up right now. I apologize to all my fans (sic).
"I will work with other artist on there projects but I will not put out another album. They dropped the ball with me one time to many (sic)."
"My whole career iv been doing shit and they have been playing catch up this is the last fucking album THEY BETTER WAKE UP AND WORK (sic)."
"I would rather not launch my album without a plan the whole system is executing. I don't know why they play with me, they know how I get (sic)."
--Honestly dude, people stopped caring about you a good five years ago. His last album didn't even reach 500k copies sold. Has-been? Take the free time to get a tutor who can teach you how to spell instead.

New Year's Eve, directed by Garry Marshall, centers around the lives of several couples and singles in NYC intertwined over the course of New Year’s Eve.

Rachel Bilson holds a stethoscope while sitting on two suitcases in the poster for her new show, Hart of Dixie.
The 29-year-old stars as Zoe Hart in the CW show, opposite Jaime King and Scott Porter.
Rachel recently told AOL TV Zoe won’t be similar to her O.C. character, Summer Roberts, even though both shows were created by Josh Schwartz.
“Summer was definitely her own entity. You know, you’re yourself, so some of her mannerisms might match up,” she said. “I tried to stay away from the ‘ew’,’ that was sort of Summer’s trademark. I decided to do it with a different inflection on the word.”
“Josh and I are kind of like brother and sister, so it’s basically working with your family again,” she added. “Everyone else on the show, we’re an instant family.”
Check out a preview of Hart of Dixie below, and be sure to tune in for the series premiere, Monday, Sept. 26!
American Idol contestant Haley Reinhart has officially been signed to 19 Entertainment/Interscope Records, a rep for the label confirms. Haley, who slinked and growled her way through constant criticism and into third place during the most recent season of Idol, is currently working on a debut album.
The deal marks yet another achievement in what has been a particularly good year for Idol contestants who didn’t take the crown. Runner-up Lauren Alaina was quickly signed to Mercury Nashville Records following the completion of the show, and ninth-place finisher Pia Toscano, who, like Haley, nabbed an Interscope deal, has already released a debut single, “This Time.”
This deal makes a lot of sense: Adele is dominant right now, and in the wake of Amy Winehouse’s tragic death, people are all the more reminded that they enjoy female singers with a good bit of raspy soul. Haley Reinhart would fit right into that niche.
Check out “#1Nite (One Night),” the newest song from Cobra Starship!
The track comes off Cobra Starship’s upcoming album, Night Shades, which will be released in stores and on iTunes on August 30.
“The song we recorded with Ryan Tedder of @onerepublic is live now on [iTunes]!” frontman Gabe Saporta wrote on his Twitter account last night, adding, “Ryan is the bomb”.
Here's a little something new for us. I was contacted through Twitter by this up and coming artist who is trying to get his name out there. I thought it was really cool and to me, it shows dedication. We had a little chat and here's what he had to say about his current single and upcoming album:
"I've been working on my album Heart Break Motel the past 3 years and it's finally coming together. Last week I decided to release a song for free from the album called "Killer Bod." So far the feedback has been amazing, especially since it's the first song I've released. I plan on releasing my album for free because I think it's time for everyone to have some free music. (:
I hope you liked Killer Bod when you listened to it. It definitely has an experimental sound to it. Just in case you decide you'd like to feature it, I attached some images for Killer Bod. MP3 download link at achinfordraiken.com."

It’s been a long time, but pop singer-songwriter Stacie Orrico has finally announced her return to the music industry. In an e-mail to her biggest fansite, Stacie confirmed that she’s working on a new album, and that signing another record deal is “foreseeable in the very near future”.
Stacie described the album as a continuation of where she left off with her self-titled sophomore album and 2006′s soulful Beautiful Awakening. She’s been working on material in Nashville, and debuted some of her new tunes through a small showcase there last month.

With both "California King Bed" and "Man Down" struggling to rise to the top, seems like Rihanna will be going a different route and releasing a sixth single instead. The chosen song is "Cheers" and it has already begun to get airplay from the biggest Top 40 stations in the US. I like the choice, I only hope Avril Lavigne makes a cameo in the video.

Only three days ago on Wednesday July 20th, Amy Winehouse shared the stage with Dionne Bromfield in London for the 2011 iTunes Festival. Today, Amy is no longer with us. Tragic.
Grammy-winning singer Amy Winehouse has been found dead in her North London home, Sky News is reporting. The Daily Mail reports that police have confirmed the passing.
In a statement, the London Metropolitan Police said, "Police were called by London Ambulance Service to an address in Camden Square NW1 shortly before 16.05hrs today, Saturday 23 July, following reports of a woman found deceased. On arrival officers found the body of a 27-year-old female who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sky News Home Affairs Correspondent Mark White reports sources confirmed that Winehouse died of a drug overdose.
She's battled drug addiction for years, having most recently checked back into rehabilitation in May.
Winehouse entered treatment in late 2007 for drug problems, including admitted heroin use.
Earlier in the day, Tim Gatt of Sky News tweeted a statement from her manager saying that she was canceling upcoming performances, writing, "Amy Winehouse is withdrawing from all scheduled performances. Everyone involved wishes to do everything they can to help her return to her best and she will be given as long as it takes for this to happen."
She performed in a surprise appearance at the iTunes Festival on July 20th. __________ So incredibly sad, an amazing talent taken from us by the work of drugs. RIP, Amy!

We still don't know what the single is, but Lady Gaga was spotted shooting the music video for it. Rumors going around are that the video is possibly for "Hair," "You and I," or "Highway Unicorn." If it's anything to go by, however, Gaga is shooting this video in Nebraska... and well, you know which of those songs references that State.

After announcing last fall she would debut her first signature fragrance in collaboration with Elizabeth Arden, now the details of Taylor Swift's new scent, Wonderstruck, have finally been released. “Wearing perfume is such a unique way to create memories. Like songs, a scent can take you back and allow you to relive a moment in time,” Swift said. And everything from the perfume’s name to the specific ingredients of the scent were drawn from Swift’s personal life experiences. “I wrote the lyric, ‘I’m wonderstruck, blushing all the way home,’ for the song ‘Enchanted’ about the first time you meet someone,” she said. “A fragrance can help shape someone’s first impression and memory of you. It’s exciting to think that Wonderstruck will play a role in creating some of those memories.” Swift will help shape those memories with a gourmand floral scent, boasting notes of vibrant fruits including raspberry and apple blossom, with notes of golden amber and sandalwood.
#1. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2 Weekend Gross/Total Gross ($168,550,000 // Debut)
#2. Transformers: Dark of the Moon ($21,250,000 // $302,800,000)

($8,334,000 // $165,326,000)
Working its final movie mojo, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 soared into the record books with the highest-grossing opening weekend ever. The series finale drew an estimated $168.55 million, dethroning The Dark Knight's $158.4 million.
Take a look above at the official single cover for "The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie," the new single from the Red Hot Chilli Peppers. Quite the title, eh? Haha. Their album I'm with You hits stores August 26th.
"Pumped Up Kicks" is the debut single released by Foster the People, an indie pop band from California. The song has so far peaked at #46 on the Billboard Hot 100, #1 on the Alternative chart and the Top Heatseekers chart as well as #3 on the Rock chart. Around the world it has peaked at #28 in Canada, #27 in the UK and #18 in New Zealand.

How big was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2's opening day?
Record-shattering gigantic.
And, despite the film's tag line, it does not all end here.
Deathly Hallows Part 2 grossed an estimated $92.1 million Friday, Warner Bros. said.
The take was nearly as big as the year's biggest three-day weekend to date, and $20 million bigger than the opening-day record held by the Twilight franchise's New Moon.
Not only did it eclipse the midnight record held by Eclipse, but it was also Hollywood's largest-ever single-day gross, blowing away, among others, New Moon, Eclipse and The Dark Knight.
Speaking of Batman…
The box-office tracking firm Exhibitor Relations today guestimated the final Harry Potter will smash The Dark Knight's three-year-old opening-weekend record with a $175 million Friday-Sunday domestic haul.
So, to recap: Opening-day record; single-day record; opening-weekend record (probably).
Check out the X Factor judges on the set of the shoot for the first promo video for the FOX singing competition. The show premieres on September 21st and 22nd.
Mark Hoppus has revealed through his Google+ profile that Blink-182's new album will be titled Neighborhoods and is tentatively scheduled for release on September 27th. The album will feature the first single "Up All Night" which you can listen to a few posts below.
Take a listen above to "Up All Night" - the first single from Blink-182 in seven years! I don't know how I feel about it, I was definitely waiting for something better. It's not bad, just not the best they could do for such an awaited-for comeback.
I can't remember when the last time a music video was made for an American Idol winner's single. Impressive! And not hard to see why, Scotty McCreery's "I Love You This Big" has become a top twenty country radio hit already. Congrats to him!
It's our fourth countdown! Take a look above at who made this week's top ten thanks to the 345 votes we received over the past two weeks! I also want to give out a "thank you" to the person who suggested the countdown should be done every two weeks instead of weekly. That was a brilliant idea and I will be sticking to it.
The poll for the next countdown will be up someday this weekend and you will be able to find it on the sidebar to your right, where it has always been.
The Amazing Spider-Man swings into theaters next summer but director Marc Webb and his distinguished cast — which includes the aforementioned Garfield as Peter Parker, Emma Stone as ill-fated Gwen Stacey — are already hard at work on crafting that radioactive Spider-Man's latest big-screen outing.
Several more photos and interviews with the cast and crew are on their way, but for now, we've got this great look at Peter Parker, as well as confirmation from EW that, yes, Ifans is playing Curt Connors, "who, in an experiment gone wrong, transforms into one of Spider-Man’s most formidable foes ever, the Lizard."
“I related to Peter Parker [Spidey’s alter ego] so much because I felt like someone else inside,” Garfield tells EW in the new issue, referring to his childhood exposure to the character. “I loved the comic books and the animated TV series and I even dressed up as Spider-Man as a kid.”
Webb adds an interesting note that summarizes his vision for the film: “Ultimately what this movie is about is a kid who grows up looking for his father and finds himself. And that’s a Spider-Man story we haven’t seen before.” There's also talk about how this "Spider-Man" promises to be a “more contemporary,” “more gritty,” and “more character-driven” take than previous versions of the character, but we've heard that before—and all the photos we've seen, this one included, only drive that point home even further.

The veteran Warner Bros. Nashville country artist has received a second life from his role on NBC’s surprise hit The Voice.
Based on one-day sales, Shelton’s new album Red River Blue will be the #1 album on next week’s HITS sales chart, with a total estimated at between 110-120k. That’s about five times the opening week sales of his last album, 2010’s Hillbilly Bone EP, which sold 23k. This is Blake's sixth studio album and will be the first to debut higher than #8.
Check out the new preview/trailer promoting the world premiere of the US version of The X Factor coming to FOX this September. This looks great! "What else did you expect?" Ha!
Mark Hoppus, frontman of Blink-182, revealed today that their comeback single will premiere this Friday! Here's what he said, posted on his Google+ account:
"Blink's new single "Up All Night" will world premier this Friday, July 15th at 7:30 a.m. PST/10:30 a.m. EST on KROQ in LA (106.7FM http://www.kroq.radio.com) and on www.blink182.com."
Some of the cast of Harry Potter were tested once again on their American tongue and knowledge. They did this a few months ago when they were promoting part one of the Deathly Hallows and now they've done it again. Check out the new video above and the first one below. Hilarious! Haha.
Jersey Shore’s season 4 premiere is less than a month away – and now PEOPLE.com has your first look at an official cast photo, and it appears they’re not holding anything back. In the shot, the cast gets all glammed-up for a late-night run through the streets of Florence, Italy, where they filmed the show starting in May. (It must have been a short stay, though. They were already back in Seaside Heights, N.J., by the end of June and hard at work at season 5.) The season begins Aug. 4 on MTV (10 p.m. ET).
On whether she’s ever been in a “friends with benefits” relationship: “Oy. I haven’t, but I can give you my stance on it: It’s like communism - good in theory, in execution it fails. Friends of mine have done it, and it never ends well. Why do people put themselves through that torture?”
On the funniest person she knows: “My father. He has such a dry sense of humor. He’d say something funny and then be like, Kiddo, now’s the part where you laugh.’ Lucille Ball is perfection - her timing and her commitment. Sarah Silverman is raunchy and brilliant, and people call her out for saying f—– up stuff that they wouldn’t have a problem with a man saying. How dare she? Who else? Tina Fey. She’s a genius. I actually just finished reading [her book] Bossypants.”
On if she’s single: “I am. I wouldn’t dare wish myself upon anybody at this point in my life! My shooting schedule is crazy. I’m a nomad till January.”
Take a listen above to the premiere of Demi Lovato's new single "Skyscraper" above! Her fans must have been waiting impatiently for this song, as it can already be found at #1 on iTunes after only less than twelve hours of release.
A new official teaser poster from the Christopher Nolan-directed movie The Dark Knight Rises has been revealed. The image features skyscrapers in the Gotham city crumbling to the ground, and the iconic Batman logo being formed on the bright-light sky amidst the city-scale destruction.
Katy Perry posted the above photo of her on Twitter as a mermaid under a bridge, and many Lady Gaga fans are pointing to a treatment, conceived by Gaga herself, that leaked of the original "The Edge Of Glory" music video concept, which had not just Lady Gaga as a mermaid but also had her under a bridge.
Hmm, I don't see anything wrong with this, as Lady Gaga never actually shot the version of the video she had talked about. I find it funny how Gaga fans are the first to get angry when someone "copies" her but they sure don't like it when claims come out that Lady Gaga has copied someone else. Get over it.
P.S. does anyone know what Katy is doing that photoshoot for?
Fans won't be dancing to any new hits from The Black Eyed Peas for a while.
The band broke the news in Staffordshire that they were about to begin an indefinite break from making music.
Promises were made that while they wouldn't be performing again for a long time, it wouldn't be for forever.
The band does plan on reuniting once again in the future, with Will.i.am tweeting:
"The @Bep will take a break after the beginning…just like we did from monkey business to the e.n.d…but it doesn't mean we stop creating."
I wish this meant Fergie going back to her solo career, but judging by what she's said before, she'll also be taking a break to start a family with her husband.
