Rest in Peace, Whitney Houston

The world has lost a legend, an icon, an incredible voice. It is sad she is no longer with us. May she rest in peace.

Whitney Houston has passed away at the age of 48, and although the cause of her death is currently unknown, she made an appearance last night at the Kelly Price & Friends Unplugged: For The Love of R&B Grammy Party at True Hollywood, and even took the stage to sing what sadly, ended up being her last public performance. Some details surrounding her passing include:

- Beverly Hills Police Department received a call at about 3:43pm Saturday afternoon.

- Police arrived on scene within minutes.

- Paramedics attempted to resuscitate Houston but failed.

- At 3:55pm this afternoon, Whitney Houston was pronounced dead.

- No obvious signs of foul play and no obvious signs of a cause of death.

Amy Winehouse Found Dead, She Was 27 Years-Old

Grammy-winning singer Amy Winehouse has been found dead in her North London home, Sky News is reporting. The Daily Mail reports that police have confirmed the passing.

In a statement, the London Metropolitan Police said, "Police were called by London Ambulance Service to an address in Camden Square NW1 shortly before 16.05hrs today, Saturday 23 July, following reports of a woman found deceased. On arrival officers found the body of a 27-year-old female who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sky News Home Affairs Correspondent Mark White reports sources confirmed that Winehouse died of a drug overdose.

She's battled drug addiction for years, having most recently checked back into rehabilitation in May.

Winehouse entered treatment in late 2007 for drug problems, including admitted heroin use.

Earlier in the day, Tim Gatt of Sky News tweeted a statement from her manager saying that she was canceling upcoming performances, writing, "Amy Winehouse is withdrawing from all scheduled performances. Everyone involved wishes to do everything they can to help her return to her best and she will be given as long as it takes for this to happen."

She performed in a surprise appearance at the iTunes Festival on July 20th.

Ryan Dunn, of Jackass Fame, Dies in Car Crash

Jackass star Ryan Dunn passed away early this morning in a car accident in Pennsylvania, alongside an as-of-now unidentified person.

Now, a Twitter picture of Dunn drinking the night of his fatal car accident has been revealed, along with photos of the results of the massive car wreck (above).

Apparently, Ryan was driving his porsche along with a passenger, but then he "lost control" and "slammed into a tree" and his porsche "burst into flames."

The only way they were able to identify Ryan was by his tattoos and facial hair.

-So sad, do not drink and drive people! May he R.I.P.

Brittany Murphy Dies at Age 32

We are in absolute shock.

Actress Brittany Murphy passed away on Sunday morning in Los Angeles at the age of 32.

People just don't typically die at 32 of natural causes!!!!!!!

Absolutely devastating. Especially because this comes as no surprise! We, and those who knew Brittany personally, saw this coming. That does not make this any less horrible.

Murphy reportedly went into full cardiac arrest and her husband, Simon Monjack, immediately called paramedics to save his wife.

Murphy was announced dead on arrival at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles after paramedics and doctors could not revive the 8 Mile actress.

UPDATE 3:11 PM ET -- Sources tell TMZ Brittany Murphy's mom discovered her unconscious in the shower. We're told when paramedics arrived, they quickly determined Murphy was in full cardiac arrest and immediately administered CPR. They continued CPR in route to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center -- several miles away -- and Murphy was unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Patrick Swayze Has Passed Away at 57

Another celebrity leaves us. :( This is happening too much lately. According to reports from TMZ, actor Patrick Swayze has passed away at the age of 57.

Swayze was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in January 2008. His publicist says he died with his family at his side.

He was the star of such movies as "Ghost," "Dirty Dancing," and "Road House." Swayze was named People's Sexiest Man Alive in 1991.

DJ AM Found Dead in New York City

Adam Goldstein, known to most as his stage name of DJ AM, was found dead in his bed on Friday in New York City, TMZ is reporting. He was 36 years old. According to the report, drug paraphernalia was allegedly found at the scene and Goldstein hadn't been seen or heard from in several days.

A friend checking on Goldstein eventually called police, and they broke down the door and found his body.

TMZ is reporting that prescription pill bottles and, according to a law enforcement source, a glass "crack pipe" were also found near Goldstein's body. They report his shirtless body was found at 5PM on Friday afternoon.

Goldstein, who dated celebrities Nicole Richie and Mandy Moore, was known for his eclectic taste in music and blending all genres into his DJ routines.

DJ AM barely escaped death in a 2008 plane crash involving him and fellow musician Travis Barker. Their plane crashed after aborting takeoff, killing four other people.

So sad, may he Rest in Peace. =(

Michael Jackson Dies at Age 50

We've just learned Michael Jackson has died. He was 50.

Michael suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon at his Holmby Hills home and paramedics were unable to revive him. We're told when paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back.

A source tells us Jackson was dead when paramedics arrived. A cardiologist at UCLA tells TMZ Jackson died of cardiac arrest.

Once at the hospital, the staff tried to resuscitate him but he was completely unresponsive. - TMZ.com

- I'm just as shocked to learn this news as everyone else in the world right now. Michael was an icon, a true legend. It's so sad that he has passed away at such a young age. May he rest in peace, the King of Pop.

David Cook's Brother Loses Battle Against Cancer

David Cook's brother Adam has died after a long battle with brain cancer.

According to David's official website, the "American Idol" winner announced his brother's death before the Race for Hope -- a 5k run which benefits brain cancer research -- in Washington, D.C. today.

Adam was 36.

David wrote the song "Permanent" about his brother's struggle with cancer on his self-titled album. Part of the lyrics says "I know he's living in hell every single day//And so I ask "Oh God is there some way for me to take his place?" You can listen to the incredible song above.

Actor Heath Ledger Has Passed Away

Terribly sad news this is. Aussie actor Heath Ledger was found dead in his apartment in New York City today (Jan. 22) at the age of 28. It's said that the cause of his death was an overdose. It's a shame that such good actors have to pass at such a young age, Heath will appear in the upcoming Batman film, The Dark Knight as Joker, other of his work included Brokeback Mountain and A Knight's Tale.
