Adele's "21" Sells Over 10 Million Copies In Less Than A Year
Since its release earlier this year, Adele’s ‘21′ has gone onto become one of the most consistent selling records of all time, averaging with sales of around 200,000 units across the globe each week. Now she has scored a feat that even her most talented of competitors have tried and failed to achieve.
For as of this Global Chart week, her sophomore album has now sold more than 10 million copies despite being less than a year old.
With 276,000 units sold around the world this week, the LP has now sold 10.15 million units making it the fastest selling album since 2004 and makes one of the highest selling artists of all time.
Beating the likes of Lady GaGa and Beyonce to see a single album shift so many copies within such a short space of time, the album is also the first LP since 1993 to spend more than 30 weeks in the Top 5 of the Billboard 200.
Lady Gaga's 5th Single Off Born This Way Will Be...
Lady Gaga’s latest song “Yoü And I” is still among the top ten singles according to Billboard, but the singer is already planning her next radio release. The fifth cut from Gaga’s multi-platinum album Born This Way is the fan favorite dance track “Marry The Night,” which was produced by Fernando Garibay and is inspired by Gaga’s love for her hometown New York City.
“I wrote so many songs on this new album about New York City, but one in particular ‘Marry The Night,’ that record is about my husband, New York,” she told MTV prior to the album release.
This was my choice for next single, but I know most of her fans wanted Scheiße. Hey, sixth single maybe.

Adele Rockets to Number One on the Billboard Hot 100
Following an acclaimed performance of the song on the MTV Video Music Awards Aug. 28, Adele's stark ballad "Someone Like You" bounds to the top of the Billboard Hot 100, vaulting 19-1 with dual Digital and Airplay Gainer honors.
The honors continue to pour in for Adele, as "Someone Like You" is her second Hot 100 No. 1, after "Rolling in the Deep" spent seven weeks at the summit beginning in May.
"Rolling in the Deep," which won Adele three trophies at the VMAs, and "Someone Like You" appear on the singer/songwriter's sophomore album "21," which, with 3.3 million copies sold in the U.S. since its February release, ranks as 2011's top-selling set.

Lady Gaga on Bazaar
On her body image and confidence: “I’m very free-spirited. Even when I was a kid, I used to run around naked with the babysitter, driving her crazy. I do yoga, I do Bikram and I run, and I eat really healthy. You know, my work sort of feeds me. I keep in shape by working hard.” On spending time on her own because of her crazy schedule: “When you’re alone as much as I am, you become accustomed to your solitude and embrace it.”
On staying true to herself no matter what: “Whether I’m wearing lots of makeup or no makeup, I’m always the same person inside.”

Adele on the Cover of Vogue UK
Adele is the cover star of the October Englishwoman issue of Vogue. A celebration of all that has come to define the modern English woman, the magazine profiles some of the country's most successful and completely unique female names - from Adele and author Diana Athill to Amy Childs.
"Our cover girl, Adele, has won over the world with her heartbreaking voice and her ability to seem as if she very much herself," says Alexandra Shulman in her editor's letter. "One of the interesting facts of celebrity is that we, the admirers, usually find some particular aspect of our favourite stars to focus on and that generally become 'the point of them'. We like them to be a certain way, and often take a long time to accept any change. So Adele's very normality, her down-to-earth determination not to compromise herself, has become as much a part of her USP as, for example, Madonna's constant, deliberate reinvention."
