I guess her fans really wanted more. Despite all the drama, Britney Spears' new album, "Blackout" will become Ms. Spears' fifth consecutive #1 studio album in the U.S., after being predicted to sale up to 380,000 copies this week. As good as that sounds, those numbers are nowhere near as good as her previous debuts: 2000's "Oops... I Did It Again" sold 1.3 Million copies during the first week of release, 2001's "Britney" sold 746,000 during its opening week, and 2003's "In The Zone" sold 609,000 the first week. Now, the only question left up in the air is, "Will the album have longevity?". Personally, I think it's going to be hard for the sales to keep up considering the fact that she has absolutely NO album promotion scheduled, so I easily see this album dropping like a rock. However, she will have a good opening and we must congratulate her for it. Finally some positive news in her life.

Underwood Leads 3 Country Debuts Onto Chart
In a Billboard 200 first, three country debuts occupy the Nos. 1-3 slots on the chart, led by Carrie Underwood's "Carnival Ride." The 19 Recordings/Arista Nashville set sold 527,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan, earning the artist her first No. 1. The total is a much better sum than the 315,000 that greeted her No. 2 2005 debut "Some Hearts." It's also the best sales week for a female solo country artist since Shania Twain's "Greatest Hits" started with 530,000 in November 2004.Robert Plant and Alison Krauss' "Raising Sand" (Rounder) opens at No. 2, selling 112,000. It's the highest charting album for both as solo artists and Krauss' first time in the top 10.
Country singer Gary Allan's MCA Nashville set "Living Hard" enters at No. 3 with 69,000. It's not his first trip into the top five this year, however: his "Greatest Hits" debuted at No. 5 in March. "Tough All Over," his album from 2005, also achieved a No. 3 entry.
To finish it up, Latin artist Juanes starts at No. 13 with "La Vida ... Es Un Ratico." The Universal Latino album moved 47,000, which bests the No. 33/34,000 start of 2004's "Mi Sangre."

[MP3] Blake Lewis- "Brake Anotha"
It's the first singles MP3 fest around here these days, isn't it? Well, here's one more. This one comes from American Idol runner-up Blake Lewis, this song called "Brake Anotha" is the first single from his debut album, "A.D.D." (which stands for Audio Day Dream). The song is really good, it's a different sound, a great sound. This song will definitely make an impact on the charts, it is also a ton better than Idol winner, Jordin Spark's boring "Tattoo". But, before I forget, Blake's album will be released on December 4th. Enjoy.

Natasha Bedingfield Changes U.S. Album Title
And it appears as so, according to the information given on televised spins of Natasha Bedingfield's music video, "Love Like This", the title of her sophome album will not be the same as the current international title, "N.B.", instead it appears as being titled "Pocket Full of Sunshine". Hmm... interesting. I personally like the new title better, it has more meaning to it. Either way, I'm sure the album will do really good in American charts, considering the massive success of "Love Like This" on top 40 radio. As a reminder, the album will be released in the U.S. on December 18th.

America's Next Top Model: 5th Eliminated Model
Oh yeah, this was a good episode. Alright, it started with Ebony bitching about her stay on the competition and about being homesick and talking about her bad critiques weeks after week at judging. Then all the girls get a visit from Tyson Beckford who then introduces them to the week's challenge, which was to be done in groups of three. The winning group were Ambreal, Jenah, and Heather. Two of them received a basket with items, while Heather was randomly chosen to be part of a shoot that Mary J. Blige was directing. At the shoot, Heather looked stunning and did a great job, she also said that Mary J. was sweet and very down to earth. Turns out that for the 4th week in a row, the viewers chose Heather as CoverGirl of the Week, she's on a role! After this, the week's photoshoot came up, the theme? They all were assigned to model Recycling materials, (i.e. aluminum cans, bottles, garbeage bags, etc). Most of the girls did a great job, and according to the judges, they were most impressed with Saleisha, Jenah, and Heather. The bottom two resulted to be Ambreal and Ebony, now here comes the shocker. Tyra gave Ebony a second chance and handed the picture to her, Ebony did not reach out for it and told her that she did not want to be there, and quit the competition. Ambreal, who was supposed to be eliminated, got a chance to stay and compete to become America's Next Top Model. Now only 8 girls left, who will get cut next? Now, like always, here is last week's shoot - Fashion Gargoyles.Chantal & Ebony

Carrie Underwood Heads to #1 with "Carnival Ride"
Next week, the industry goes on a Carnival Ride.
Arista’s American Idol and Grammy Best New Artist winner Carrie Underwood kicks the fourth quarter into moderate gear with a first-week total that is looking between 400-450k, more than enough to thrust her into the top spot on the next HITS Album chart. - hits daily double - That's great! Her debut album opened with 315K and it went on to sell 6 Million copies, this one looks like it will open with over 400K and hopefully will sell just as good as "Some Hearts" did. She's got an amazing career working for her!
Here is also Carrie's performance of her hit single "So Small" yesterday at Good Morning America.

Billboard Chart Updates
Another week has gone by, huh? New #1's all around - here's a recap.

On the Billboard 200, Kid Rock managed to open at #1 with his new album "Rock N Roll Jesus" which sold 172,000 this week. Not bad. Then at #2 we find Bruce Springsteen with his "Magic" that has sold another 133,000 copies on its second week on the chart. Further down at #3 we find country group Rascal Flatts with "Still Feels Good" that sold 96,000 this week. Another country star, LeAnn Rimes debuts at #4 with "Family" - album that sold just about 74,000 copies. There are many more country starts at top, Reba McEntire's album "Reba Duets" holds on to the #7 spot, Sarah Evans debuts at #8 with her "Greatst Hits" album, and Josh Groban has rounded up the top 10 with "Noel" his christmas album that sold 64,000 copies. At all this, where's Jennifer Lopez? Her album, "Brave" made a dissapointing debut - her biggest flop yet, the album opened at #12 selling just 53,000 albums... ouch!
There is the report, hope you enjoy.

Nelly- "Wadsyaname" Music Video
Nelly has released the first single from his upcoming November studio release, "Brass Knuckles". The rapper hasn't had a big impact on the music scene since his 2002 smash, "Hot in Herre", and I highly doubt that "Wadsyaname" will meet such success, it's a good song - just not good enough IMO. Here's the music video, you be the judge. Enjoy.

America's Next Top Model: 4th Eliminated Model
Another week, another episode. Tonight, the girls started taking posing classes in the air - then in the ice as the week's challenge, and a bunch on boring junk. In the end, it was Lisa who won the reward and got a chance to shoot a Ad for Seventeen Magazine with winner of Top Model Cycle 6, Danielle. Some of the girls felt dissapointed and turned their back to Lisa for winning (jealousy!). Anyway, as the CoverGirl of the Week, Heather took the title... for the third time in a row! People love her. Now, to the important stuff... the photoshoot. The ten girls had to pose on the edge of a building as fashion gargoyles, interesting. Most of the girls did good, except Ambreal who was extremely afraid of heights. My favorites were Lisa and Heather, as usual. In the end, it was Janet who got the boot and was sent home after being bottom 2 with Ambreal. 9 girls remain, who will go home next? Like always, here is last week's shoot. Enjoy.Ambreal & Bianca
