Mary J. Blige Live at Idol Gives Back
This was one of my favorite performances of this year's Idol Gives Back. Mary J. Blige performed "Stairway to Heaven" live with the help of Travis Barker, a genius on the drums, Orianthi, and Idol's own Randy Jackson just to name a few. This was great. Check it out!

Mary J. Blige Goes to #1 - Billboard 200 Update
Mary J. Blige has put an end to Josh Groban's reign on The Billboard 200 as the R&B singer's "Growing Pains" moves up 2-1. The Geffen release sold 204,000 copies in the U.S., according to Nielsen Soundscan, a 68% drop-off in sales. Groban's "Noel," which had been No. 1 for five weeks, slips 1-3 with 178,000 units, a 77% sales hit.Meanwhile, Radiohead's "In Rainbows" debuts prematurely due to street date violations at No. 157, with 9,000 copies sold. The album's official release date was yesterday (Jan. 1) in North America via TBD Recordings/ATO.
Back near the top rung, Alicia Keys' "As I Am" (J) takes a 59% sales hit but moves up 3-2 with 193,000, while the "Now 26" multi-label hits compilation ascends 6-4 with 98,000 (-58%). Chris Brown's Jive set, "Exclusive," climbs 10-5 with a 51% decline to 87,000, and the Eagles' "Long Road Out of Eden" (Eagles Recording Co.) falls 4-6 with 85,000, a 72% decrease.
Swinging back into the top 10, Garth Brooks' Pearl set "The Ultimate Hits" moves 12-7 with 77,000 (-56%). Another country star, Taylor Swift, holds tight at No. 8 with her self-titled Big Machine album, selling 77,000 copies with a 59% decline. Miley Cyrus' Disney double-disc "Hannah Montana 2 (Soundtrack)/Meet Miley Cyrus" takes a 72% hit at 73,000, falling 5-9. Josh Groban and Mary J. Blige Top Billboard Chart
Josh Groban's "Noel" (143/Reprise) becomes the first Christmas album to top The Billboard 200 for five straight weeks, after moving 757,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Groban's total, which was up 13% from last week, helped hold off hefty competition from Mary J. Blige's "Growing Pains" (Geffen), the only debut to crack the top 10 this week. The R&B star's ninth album landed at No. 2 and shifted 629,000 copies.
Despite a whopping 62% sales spike, Alicia Keys' "As I Am" (J) slips 2-3 in its sixth week on the chart, selling 474,000. The Eagles' "Long Road Out of Eden" (Eagles Recording Co.) also slides down one spot to No. 4 with 313,000 (+30%). Moving 260,000 copies, Miley Cyrus' Disney double-disc set "Hannah Montana 2 (Soundtrack)/Meet Miley Cyrus" jumps 7-5 thanks to a 46% sales increase from the previous week.
The "Now 26" multi-label hits compilation slides 4-6, pulling in 235,000 copies (+22%) in its sixth week of release. Arista Nashville artist Carrie Underwood jumps two slots to No. 7 with "Carnival Ride," on a 57% increase to 216,000. Big Machine artist Taylor Swift remained at No. 8 with her self-titled debut, selling 187,000 (+35%).
Disney's "High School Musical 2" fell 6-9 on 185,000 copies sold (+4%) and Jive artist Chris Brown rounded out the top 10 after a 65% leap to 176,000 for "Exclusive."
