Katy Perry's California Gurls Shoots to #1 on iTunes

A very excited Katy Perry posted the image above on her official Twitter page. Her new single "California Gurls" has shot up to the #1 position on iTunes in less than a day! Congrats to her. Here's what she tweeted:

Michael Jackson Takes Over iTunes!

Michael Jackson, the King of Pop, has taken over iTunes! 24 of his albums are found inside the iTunes Top 100 albums list, including solo albums and those with the Jackson 5. But it get's better, inside the iTunes Top 100 singles there are currently 45 Michael Jackson songs! It's incredible to see. Michael Jackson will be missed but his music will live on forever.

I don't remember when the last time was that so many awaited-for singles were released on iTunes on the same week.
