Kelly Clarkson Confirms Third Single

"I Do Not Hook Up" is currently the most added song to Top 40 radio quickly becoming another hit for Kelly Clarkson, and during a concert in Arizona, the first American Idol winner revealed that the third single to be released from her Gold-selling album All I Ever Wanted is the ballad "Already Gone" produced by OneRepublic's frontman Ryan Tedder. I think the single choice is great, I love the song even though there are certain similarities to Beyoncé's "Halo". To those who have not heard the song yet, check out the YouTube video above.

What do you think of the single choice?

American Idol Top 5: Results

Bottom 3:
Matt, Kris and Adam

Bottom 2:
Matt and Adam

Eliminated:
Matt

I must say, I'm damn surprised (and glad in a way) that Adam Lambert fell down to the bottom two. All season long I've said he's terribly overrated and not a recording artist but more of a Broadway performer. Now, the only contestant left this season to never have stepped foot in the bottom three is Danny Gokey, and looking back at previous seasons I see that 5 of the 7 winners of Idol were never on the bottom three either. Hm. Keep checking back, I'll have this week's studio recordings posted, like every week!

Buckcherry have released the music video for "Don't Go Away", the second single released from their latest album Black Butterfly out now. The song is great, enjoy the video! Good stuff.

Trouble Within The Pussycat Dolls

Looks like another girl group is hitting rock bottom. The Pussycat Dolls' last two singles have been released under the name The Pussycat Dolls featuring Nicole Scherzinger - leading to the rumors that Nicole has left the the group to pursue a solo career but will remain with PCD until the end of the Doll Domination era. Now, it looks like there's more to the story than just Nicole wanting to leave the group. I'm talking about a beef between the girls in the group. During a concert in Arizona, Melody Thornton thanked the audience by saying "Thank you for supporting me, even though I'm not featured. You know what I'm saying?" She later on adds as she moves away from Nicole "Follow your dreams and don't let anyone ever stomp on you, ever." Interesting stuff. Other sources that were at the concert have said that for the rest of their presentation, the feel on stage was "majorly awkward". I wonder if the group will go on without Nicole or will she be replaced? Hm. Check out the video of Melody's indirect comments to Nicole above.

Check out the live performance of "Pararazzi" above. Great stuff.

Out Today on the Big Screen

Beyoncé Knowles is back on the big screen, this time in Obsessed, a thriller that centers around a successful asset manager, who has just received a huge promotion, is blissfully happy in his career and in his marriage. But when a temp worker starts stalking him, all the things he's worked so hard for are placed in jeopardy. Also hitting the big screen today is Fighting starring Channing Tatum who plays the role of a young man named Shawn MacArthur who moves to New York, where he struggles to make a living selling counterfeit goods on the street. He is spotted by Harvey Boarden (Terrence Howard), a veteran street fighting coach who offers him the chance to earn big money by competing in illegal underground fights. Matt Giraud was saved from elimination last week by the judges, which meant that this week two contestants would be going home from American Idol and that's how it happened. It was expected that they would be the two going home after the feedback they received from the judges last night. Next week Adam, Allison, Danny, Kris and Matt will take the stage in hopes of becoming the next American Idol. This should be good.

A big variety of movies is hitting the big screen today! For the younger audience, Hannah Montana: The Movie is opening in over 3,000 theatres across America - expect this movie to debut at #1, that's a lot of screens. For the older teens and fans of the cartoon series, your choice this weekend shall be Dragon Ball: Evolution starring Justin Chatwin and Real World alum Jamie Chung which is opening in 2,100 screens, not bad. If you were a fan of the cartoon throughout the 80s and the 90s, go watch this live action movie, should be interesting. Finally, for the rest of us, there's the rated R comedy Observe and Report starring Seth Rogen, which has opened in 2,700 screens. A lot of choices, I wonder which is the best movie?

[MP3] Eminem- "We Made You" [Music Video]

Eminem has released the music video for "We Made You" the first official single taken from his upcoming album Relapse. The song is good, but it's the video that's the best. He returns to his comedic self and returns to mocking celebrities, in this video he makes fun of Jessica Simpson and her weight gain, Lindsay Lohan and her girlfriend, Kim Kardashian's big butt, Brett Michael and his reality show, Amy Winehouse, Jessica Alba, and even Startrek. The video is a must-see, it's brilliantly hilarious. Enjoy!

Academy of Country Music Awards- Opening

The opening act of the 2009 Academy of Country Music Awards was packed with great performes including Brooks & Dunn, Taylor Swift, Sugarland, Carrie Underwood and Rascal Flatts. Great performance, enjoy.

Carrie Underwood Live @ the ACM Awards

Carrie Underwood, the Academy of Country Music Awards big winner, performed her hit single "I Told You So" in a huge dress. The performace, as usual, was brilliant. This girl just can't give a bad performance, she's great. Check that out above.

Also, here is Carrie's emotional acceptance speech after winning the award for Entertainer of the Year, which hasn't been awarded to a female since Shania Twain won in 1999.

Taylor Swift- "You're Not Sorry" Live @ ACMAs

Taylor Swift is not the best live singer, but in this performance, it's the emotion that counts. Swift, who took home the award for Album of the Year, gave us a great performance of her song "You're Not Sorry" last night at The Academy of Country Music Awards. I have to say, this song must be a single in the future. Enjoy!

Also, here is the video of Taylor's acceptance speech after winning the award for Album of the Year:

Miley Cyrus @ Academy of Country Music Awards

I'm a little consfused as to why she was asked to perform, but she did. Miley Cyrus performed her single "The Climb" at the Academy of Country Music Awards live last night from Las Vegas. It was a good performance, she sounded really good... but I still don't know why she performed at these award shows.

Trace Adkins @ Academy of Country Music Awards

Trace Adkins delivered one of the best and most touching live performances last night at The Academy of Country Music Awards. The video is above, you must watch it. Great stuff.

Katy Perry- "Hot N Cold" (New Video Version)

Katy Perry has released a new version of the music video for her smash single "Hot N Cold", it's nice... but obviously I prefer the first version. Check it out!

Come back on Wednesday at 9/8c to find out if the judges use their save or if America sends another finalist home. Also, Kellie Pickler returns to the Idol stage to perform her new single, "Best Days of Your Life" and Miley Cyrus' pre-recorded performance of "The Climb" will also air.

Here are two new Christina Aguilera ads for the Stephen Webster Silver Jewelry line. I think this girl is stunning, she's getting better with age. Now 28, Aguilera looks better than ever.

Martina McBride Live @ Ellen

Although Martina McBride has been releasing albums for nearly twenty years, she's not only looking better than ever but her voice is still one of the greatest voices in the music industry right now. The singer appeared live on the Ellen DeGeneres Show to perform her latest single "Ride". Don't forget her album Shine is in stores now! Go out and buy it, first week sales for the album were very dissapointing.

The Real World Heads to Cancun!

MTV's The Real World has recently been picked up to run a new four seasons, taking the series to its 26th Cycle! The first season of The Real World premiered in 1992 set in New York, since then, the reality show has gone to cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco, London, Miami, Boston, Seattle, Hawaii, New Orleans, Chicago, Las Vegas, Paris, San Diego, Philadelphia, Austin, the Key West, Denver, Sydney, Hollywood and most recently to Brooklyn. That's a lot of damn places, and the location for the 22nd season has been announced! Heading out of the states for the fourth time, The Real World is going to Mexico! This should be interesting. Expect The Real World: Cancun to premiere later this year, likely after The Duel 2 finishes airing.

David Cook- "Come Back to Me" [Music Video]

David Cook has released the music video for the song "Come Back to Me" - the second single released from his Platinum-selling self-titled album in stores now. Real good song. I like this video, great theme. Check it out! To watch the video in High Quality, click here.

Green Day- "Know Your Enemy" Single Cover

Taylor Swift performed the song "You Belong With Me" live this morning at The Tonigh Show with Jay Leno. I wonder if this means that this song will be the third single released from her multi-platinum album Fearless? If it is, I think it's a good choice. Check it out.

Day26- "Imma Put It on Her" [Music Video]

Anyone still watching the newest season of Making the Band? Yeah, didn't think so. Diddy's last remaining band Day26 has released the music video for their song "Imma Put It on Her" which is the first single released from their album Forever In a Day to hit stores April 14th. The song is actually catchy, at least the chorus is. Still, I don't see it becoming a hit single.

Britney Spears- Kohl's Commercial

As we all know by now, Britney Spears is the new Candie's girl taking after actress Hayden Pannettiere. Above, you can see the first official commercial released by Kohl's to promote their new girl. Check it out!

Preview of Hilary Duff on Ghost Whisperer

Hilary Duff will make an appearance on The Ghost Whisperer which will air on CBS this April 10th. Looks interesting, check it out.

Lady Gaga Live at American Idol

From the rock version to the live version. Many people have criticized Lady Gaga's peformance of "Poker Face" last night on American Idol, but to me, this is the best live performance of this song thus far. You must watch it if you haven't done so already.

Poker Face- Rock Instrumental

A Lady Gaga fan has taken it on his own to make a rock version of her single "Poker Face" and the result? Freaking incredible. Gaga should consider getting this guy to make an official remix of her song. Check it out!

[MP3] American Idol Top 9: Studio Recordings + Elimination Results

(Spoilers ahead, read at your own risk)

Bottom 3:
Megan, Allison and Anoop

Bottom 2:
Megan and Anoop

Eliminated:
Megan

On tonight's show, Megan Joy said good-bye to the American Idol stage as she received the lowest votes after her performance last night and as much as I like Megan, I have to agree with the decision American made this week. She had enough chances to choose the right songs and the potential to make it far in this competition, but she wasted them all - her last few weeks were terrible compared to her first two performances back in the Top 36 week and the Wildcard show. I'm also a little disappointed that she said she didn't care about the judge's opinions, but I still do like her and I hope to see her release her own music in the future. With the right music and promotion she could become very successful, so I wish Megan some good luck. Eliminations aside, last year's winner David Cook returned to the Idol stage to perform his new single "Come Back to Me", he was also awarded with a Platinum plaque for his self-titled debut album for sales of over one million copies. Also, Lady Gaga performed her #1 hit single "Poker Face" and to me, it was her best live performance of that song yet. I will have both performances posted here as soon as they pop up on YouTube for those who missed them.

Now, to what everyone likes! Here are the MP3 Download Links to the Studio Recordings of the contestants performances last night! Do enjoy!

Download MP3s:
Anoop Desai- "Caught Up"
Megan Joy- "Turn the Lights Down Low"
Danny Gokey- "What Hurts the Most"
Allison Iraheta- "Don't Speak"
Scott MacIntyre- "Just the Way You Are"
Matt Giraud- "You Found Me"
Lil Rounds- "I Surrender"
Adam Lambert- "Play That Funky Music"
Kris Allen- "Ain't No Sunshine"

Next week's theme: Songs from the year of contestant's birth!
Thoughts?

Keith Urban Live @ Ellen DeGeneres

Keith Urban released his new album Defying Gravity yesterday and to promote its release, the country singer appeared to perform live at the Ellen DeGeneres Show, where he sang his newest single "Sweet Thing". I like this song, enjoy.

Lady Gaga Making History

Lady Gaga is the first new artist since 1999 to have her first two singles reach the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. This week, Gaga scores her second #1 in a row with her hit "Poker Face", in January her debut single "Just Dance" spent three weeks at that same spot. The last time this was done by a new artist in the U.S. was, like I said, in 1999 when Christina Aguilera's first two singles "Genie in a Bottle" and "What a Girl Wants" hit #1 on the Hot 100. Aditionally, Gaga is only the fourth female artist to open with two no. 1's, joining Aguilera, Mariah Carey (1990) and Tifanny (1987). Congrats to Lady Gaga! Let's see if her third single "Paparazzi" reaches number one as well.

[MP3] Bucky Covington- "I Want My Life Back"

Download:
Bucky Covington will be releasing his sophomore album later this year and the first single to be released from the still untitled album is the song "I Want My Life Back", a good country song that will likely become another chart topper for him. For those who might not remember, Bucky was a contestant on the sixth season of American Idol and released his debut album in 2007 which released two Country top 10 singles and sold nearly 500,000 copies.

Whitney Port on Cosmopolitan

Reality TV star Whitney Port appears looking real good on the new cover of Cosmopolitan magazine. Check that out.

Kevin Rudolf Live at Dancing With the Stars

Kevin Rudolf performed his hit "Let it Rock" at the latest episode of Dancing With the Stars. His album In the City is in stores now.

Miley Cyrus on Glamour Magazine

Miley Cyrus appears on the cover of Glamour magazine, the April 2009 issue. I think that this picture isn't very flattering for her... you be the judge.

Flo Rida Live @ MTV Spring Break

Flo Rida has been reviving samples of some past classics, and now he's about to score a new hit with his newest single "Sugar". His songs are good, but they get annoying really fast. Check out his live performance at MTV Spring Break above.
