Box Office Report

A disasterous movie weekend turns into a disasterous movie box office report.

No movie crossed the $11 million mark over this weekend - surprisingly, Babylon A.D. only managed to collect a shameful $9 million after it was expected to make at least three times that amount - the film grossed in that low amount most probably due to the fact that the film received hideous reviews from not only the director, but from critics everywhere. This one debuted at #2. Tropic Thunder remained at #1, while The Dark Knight reclaimed the #3 spot, grossing in another $8 million, its domestic total is currently a record-breaking $502 million - just $98 million away from Titanic's total! The film's worldwide gross stands at $883 million.

Other debuts this weekend include Disaster Movie which debuted at #7, making in an extremely dissapointing $6 million - hopefully this is the end of these damn parodies!

College came in at #15 making $2 million - this is one of the lowest debuts in box office history! On to better news though, with $217 million grossed, Wall-E has leapfrogged 1992's Aladdin as the sixth highest-grosing G Rated movie of all-time! Impressive stuff.
