There were a couple of factors that may have helped the show's ratings, including an NFL overrun lead-in and a guest appearance by Katy Perry!

American Idol Judges on The Simpsons

The current line-up of American Idol judges turn yellow for a guest appearance on The Simpsons. Randy Jackson, Kara DioGuardi, Ellen DeGeneres and Simon Cowell are all animated for the May 23 finale of the FOX series.

In the episode aptly titled "Judge Me Tender", Springfield's beloved bartender Moe Syzslak will get a chance to offer some criticisms alongside the judges. Idol host Ryan Seacrest is also appearing in the episode in his clean white suit.

The Simpsons has surpassed Gunsmoke to be the longest-running TV show in America. FOX is expected to announce whether the animation will get another season in the May presentation.

Hey, they look better than the real life judges. Ha!

Hugh Hefner teased a while back on Twitter about a possible Marge-Playboy collaboration. We now can tell you that the Simpson matriarch will be featured in a three-page pictorial complete with an interview and a data sheet to mark The Simpsons' 20th anniversary.

New on DVD: The Simpsons Movie

Another Summer Blockbuster has hit stores on DVD and Blu-Ray everywhere. The Simpsons Movie came right in time for the holidays, make sure to pick up a copy of this hilarious film. Here's the DVD cover.

Weekend Box Office Report

Michael Myers is back and it's Halloween in September, the film managed to gross a total of $31 millions and grab that #1 spot of this weekend's box office, not bad considering the film received tons of terrible reviews. The box office has not been interesting lately, other films include Superbad at #2, Balls of Fury at #3, The Bourne Ultimatum still holding strongly at #4 with a total of $202 millions gorssed - freakin' awesome! We also see Jackie Chan's Rush Hour 3 at #5 with a total of $122 mill. The Simpsons Movie at #11 who have grossed $172 million - I honestly expected more, although this is not bad at all. And Harry Potter at #13 with $286 millions in the US and $911 million world wide, whoa baby! I only hope that we get some good movie released soon!

Weekend Box Office Report

THE numbers are in! Now my report shall begin. Coming in at #1 this weekend is Jackie Chan's and Chris Tucker's movie Rush Hour 3, the film pulled in a great $50 million - which is great considering the film had little promotion. Moving on, Matt Damon's The Bourne Ultimatum falls to #2, but it still grossed another $33 million, this brings the movie's total to $132 mill. in the US. But whats a chart without the cartoon films? The Simpsons Movie falls at #3 with $11 million, now the total gross in the US is of $152 millions and $342 mill. worldwide. Woo, that's awesome. Stardust debuts at #4 with only $9 million, too bad for them. Underdog is found at #5 with only $6 millions, their total gross so far? $24 mill, not too bad. But let's talk about the true block busters! With a worldwide total of 822 million dollars, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is now placed at #16 of world's most-watched movies. That's heck of a lot of money! Following close behind is Transformers, that have grossed nearly $600 million worldwide. About 2007's highest grossing film? The title goes to Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End, movie that grossed a total of $954 millions, WHOAAA!!! This placed the film at #5 of all-time highest grossing movies, behind Harry Potter and The Sorcerer's Stone which is placed at #4 with $976 mill.

Matt Damon's film The Bourne Ultimatium made an impressive debut at #1 on this weekend's box office, making over $70 millions. This is the best opening for any of the Bourne films. Holding strongly at #2 is one of the best cartoon movies, The Simpsons Movie - making another $25 millions which brings their total to $128, and $236 millions worldwide, that's great! Another debut is that film Underdog, which debuts at #3 with $12 millions. I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry falls to #4 making $10 millions, now their total gross is of $90 mill. not bad. Now, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix drops to #6, but check this out, this movie has grossed 770 million dollars worldwide! DAMN! Talk about a successful movie! Two other movies, Transformers drops to #9, with a total of $296 millions, and Ratatouille falls to #11 grossing a total of $188 millions so far. Great movies, great numbers.

Box Office Report: Simpsons Win, Lindsay Stinks

After years in the making, The Simpsons Movie was released this past Friday and it made big money! During this non-holiday weekend, Fox's film made an amazing $71 million, more than enough to place the movie on top of the Box Office. Holding steady at #2 is the comedy, I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry, film which made another $19 million, for a total of 71.6 million dollars grossed so far. Now, the boy wizard is still strong at #3, one of the higest grossing movie this year made another $17 millions, for a total of $241 millions - crazy! But check it out, worldwide Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix has grossed $593 millions! Woow! Other films in the top 10 are that musical Hairspray at #4 making $15 millions, Catherine Zeta Jones' film No Reservations which debuts at #5 with a sad $11 million. Also at #6 with $11 mill. we find mega successful film, Transformers, this movie has made $284 mill. in the US and $467 Worldwide. NOW, the saddest story has to be Lindsay Lohan's new flop, her movie I Know Who Kille Me debuted at #9 with a VERY sad and depressing 3 million dollars grossed, that is horrible, this might be her biggest failure yet. She has not had a successful movie since 2004's Mean Girls. Sad, I know. Well, that's the report. =D

The Simpsons Season Finale

"You Kent Always Say What You Want" will be the 400th episode of The Simpsons and will air on May 20, 2007 as part of the one hour season finale, alongside the episode "24 Minutes". Guest starring rapper Ludacris as himself. This is the finale of the 18th season, but don't worry, The Simpsons will be back soon not only in a 19th season, but also in "The Simpsons Movie". Which will be released worldwide on July 27, 2007. I can't wait for that movie.
