Album Sales Prediction Are In! Biggest Week of the Year

Let's make it short, and easy to read. Straight to the point! The sales prediction for the many releases of this week has been released, and the #1 spot is not going to be a debut. Susan Boyle will keep the spot for a second week with her album The Gift, predicted to sell another 300,000 copies this week!

Behind at #2 with the highest debut of the week comes America's Got Talent finalist Jackie Evancho. The ten year-old will sell around 270-290,000 copies of her album O Holy Night!

The next highest debut goes to Rihanna, whose album Loud is expected to end up selling between 180-190k copies this week.

Country group Rascal Flatts' latest album Nothing Like This is earmarked for between 170-180k - the same amount that is predicted for Keith Urban's Get Closer and Josh Groban's Illuminations.

Kid Rock returns with Born Free, his follow-up to the triple-platinum Rock N Roll Jesus, which is just behind that trio in the 160-170k range.

Finally, on to to the disappointing debuts:

Nelly's album 5.0 is predicted to sell between 55-60k while Lee DeWyze's album Live It Up is expected to sell 40-45k, which will be the debut album with the weakest first week sales of any previous Idol winner.

P!nk's Greatest Hits... So Far!!! album is predicted to sell the same amount as Lee DeWyze and finally, Norah Jones' compilation of duets, Featuring, will do 18-22k.

After struggling to make an impression with his last album, Nelly is back with a new single, and he's finally making a proper comeback. The song is titled "Just a Dream" and it has already become one of the most added songs to Top 40 radio. It is also currently sitting at #5 on iTunes. Nelly Ft. Ashanti & Akon- "Body on Me" [Video]

Nelly has released the third single from his still-unreleased album Brass Knuckles. The past singles have been the tracks "Wadsyaname" and "Party People" which featured multi-platinum singer Fergie. Now, he's got a new track out with a collaboration with Ashanti and Akon. Unfortunately, Nelly's past two singles have failed to impact at radio or become chart-toppers... and if this song fails to catch also, his fans should worry as it will be likely that no album will be released. So, here's the new video for "Body on Me". Check it out.

Rapper Nelly has released the music video for "Party People" - a song with heavy hip-hop beats that features the Dutchess herself, Fergie. I find the song to be pretty damn great, I'm surprised I like it as much as I do! It's catchy and the music video fits the song perfectly. Nelly's upcoming album Brass Knuckles hits stores June 24th.

Nelly has released the first single from his upcoming November studio release, "Brass Knuckles". The rapper hasn't had a big impact on the music scene since his 2002 smash, "Hot in Herre", and I highly doubt that "Wadsyaname" will meet such success, it's a good song - just not good enough IMO.
