Carrie Underwood takes first prize!The former “American Idol” winner took top honors when CMT announced its list of top videos (of 2008) today. Her “Just a Dream” placed No. 1 when the country music channel compiled its list of the year’s best country music videos.
“Carrie’s videos have always made a splash, and ‘Just a Dream’ is truly deserving of our chart-topping status for the year,” says Jay Frank, SVP of Music Strategy for CMT. “Our audience consistently told us how much they loved it through streams, online voting, message board comments and more.”
Sugarland’s “All I Want to Do,” Kenny Chesney’s “Shiftwork,” Trace Adkins’ “You’re Gonna Miss This,” and Taylor Swift’s “Picture to Burn” rounded out the top five. For the complete “CMT Top 20 Countdown,” tune to CMT on Friday, Dec. 26 at 1 p.m.
