Madonna Confirms Title of 12th Studio Album

Madonna's forthcoming album officially has a title. The pop queen's 12th studio LP will be called M.D.N.A., representatives for the singer confirmed to MTV News on Wednesday (January 11).

Madonna announced the album title during a taping of the U.K.'s "Graham Norton Show," which will air Friday on BBC One. While making the press rounds in support of her film "W.E.," she has offered up a few details on her much-anticipated album, which is reportedly due in late March. On Thursday, "Nightline" is set to air a "candid and revealing" interview with the singer, in which she answers fan questions and addresses talk about a rumored rivalry with Lady Gaga.

The singer recently confirmed that M.D.N.A. will be released as part of her new three-record deal with Interscope. The first single from the project, "Gimme All Your Luvin," features Nicki Minaj and M.I.A.; it's set for release later this month ahead of Madonna's performance at the Super Bowl XLVI halftime show on February 5 in Indiana

The Power of Madonna Lands Glee at #1

The combined Power of Glee and Madonna will result in a chart-topping debut for Columbia’s third compilation of songs from Ryan Murphy’s pop zeitgeist show on Fox.

With last night’s episode revealing Sue Sylvester’s lifelong obsession with the Material Girl, as well as seven set-pieces incorporating some of her biggest hits, Glee: The Power of Madonna will bow at #1 on next week’s chart with a total of 100-120k.

That’s based on one-day sales reports from retailers around the country who haven’t transformed their stores into Jamba Juice locations. With the album #1 at iTunes, and six of its seven tracks in the Top 100, including “Like a Prayer” at #3, it remains to be seen how physical retail will react in gauging its final total.

Meanwhile, Columbia should nab at least two of the top three spots on next week’s chart, with AC/DC’s Iron Man 2 soundtrack looking for a total between 80-100k.-HitsDailyDouble

Glee Exclusive: Madonna is on Board!

EW.com reports that pop music's leading lady, Madonna, has granted "Glee" rights to her entire catalog.

Creator Ryan Murphy teases that an all-Madonna episode is in the works for next year.

And that's not all. Apparently, Murphy is trying to get "American Idol" runner-up Adam Lambert to guest star on the show. Next year, "Glee" will be paired with "Idol" on Wednesday nights.
