Taylor Swift Already Working on New Album

Taylor Swift has dished on a few tidbits about her next studio installment. In a recent interview with the New Yorker, the 21-year-old country/pop singer revealed that she had written about 10 songs for the upcoming effort which is recorded to follow up her No. 1 album “Speak Now”.

Teasing what to expect from her new music, Taylor said, “They’re sad? If I’m being honest.” The blonde beauty, who is famous for writing songs about her personal experiences, mentioned one particular track she most recently penned, saying it’s “about moving on.” She added, “I write songs, and my voice is just a way to get those lyrics across.”

Her new album is set to be released in 2012.

Today Revolver revealed the cover for James Durbin’s upcoming debut album Memories Of A Beautiful Disaster. And it turns out that finishing in fourth place on American Idol isn’t the only thing the heavy metal enthusiast has in common with Chris Daughtry — in addition to Durbin and Daughtry’s upcoming albums being released on the same day (November 21), both were produced by Howard Benson.

Kelly Clarkson has released the audio for what is going to be the second official single off her upcoming album, Stronger. You can listen to the song, appropriately titled "What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger)" above. It's an improvement from her current single, but I think she can still do better.

Scotty McCreery To Debut at Number One on Billboard

Scotty McCreery’s debut album, Clear as Day, will debut at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart with estimated sales between 150-175k. The only previous Idol winners who can make that claim are first and second-season champs Kelly Clarkson and Ruben Studdard, whose debut albums Thankful and Soulful went straight to #1 in 2003. However, although it will debut at number one, it will be the fourth-lowest opening week sales for a previous Idol winner's debut album, only ahead of Jordin Sparks' self-titled debut (119k) Kris Allen's self-titled debut (80k) and Lee DeWyze's Live It Up (39k).

The Return of the Best Damn Blog Countdown?

So, I've been thinking... it's been quite a while since I dropped making the countdown due to several complains, everything from the voting list was making the blog too slow, to the video I vote for never makes it, the video is too long, etc.

Thing is, I enjoyed making the videos and a lot of you seemed to enjoy them as well so I want to ask this... would you guys want me to bring back the countdown maybe one time every once in a while? Maybe once a month?

Just an idea, I want some feedback so I can make a decision. If you guys are new and clueless as to what I'm talking about, take a look above at the last countdown video I made about three months ago.

Remember, it will not be a weekly thing... it will be maybe once every month. Just to see what everyone who visits the blog is into and whatnot.
