Rihanna Scores Eleventh Number One Hot 100 Single

This week, the Rihanna scored her 11th number 1 song with her club banger, ‘We Found Love. Despite the controversy and people predicting her demise, Rihanna became just the seventh artist in Bilboard’s 53-year history to have 11 number one hits on the Hot 100 chart. Rihanna passed Stevie Wonder and Janet Jackson who have each had 10 number one hits, and joins the Beatles (20), Mariah Carey (18), Michael Jackson (13), Madonna (12), the Supremes (12) and Whitney Houston (11).

I know I'm about to ruffle some feathers, but to me, Rihanna is one of the artists with the most undeserved number one singles to date. Sorry.

I couldn't agree more Gabe! And to me they just keep getting worse and worse. This new number one just baffles me - We Found Love is not a great song, and the video is awful!

I know, to be pitted against the greats with such a vapid "artist" who's shit probably has more talent is just insulting. Excuse the language.

Maybe you guys don't like her music as much, but that doesn't mean the rest of the world doesn't, or that she hasn't worked hard to deserve it. There's no way to "cheat the system," every artists earns sales and radio air play. NO STATION would play a crappy song that would make their listeners switch. Duh, Rihanna's making history whether you like her music or not.

She hasn't worked hard at all to deserve it. The only reason why she has as many number #1's is because payola from her production company. The radio stations play her music every 10 minutes and she records a new album every half a year. Meaning she's told what to do and just does it. She shouldn't be commended her team should. She probably contributes 10% to her success. But then again, the talent these days are slowly declining.
