Throwback Friday: Goo Goo Dolls- "Iris"

Released in 1998, "Iris" became one of the biggest hits for the alternative rock band Goo Goo Dolls. It is considered by many as not only the band's best-known single; but also one of the best songs released in the 90s.

"Iris" peaked at #1 in Australia and Canada. It also hit #1 in US airplay and #9 on the Billboard Hot 100. Other peaks around the world include #9 in Norway, #16 in New Zealand and #26 in the UK.

The album Dizzy Up the Girl has been certified triple Platinum in the US and remains the band's most successful album.
