David Archuleta reportedly has been dropped from his record label, Jive Records. A rep for the label told sources Archie has been "released from our roster," but offered no reason why.No surprise here, his album The Other Side of Down sold 65,000 copies.

It's a shame. "The Other Side of Down" was a hell of a lot better than his debut album. David is such a great singer, hopefully he's able to find a real direction for his music and finds a new label to release some more music and really market him the way he should've been. The only reason I knew he was releasing a second album is because I'm a big fan, otherwise I wouldn't have a clue.
