Avril Lavigne Titles Fourth Album "Goodbye Lullaby"

Anticipation for new material from Avril Lavigne has been high since the release of “Alice (Underground)” for Tim Burton’s interpretation of Alice in Wonderland and it had only been furthered when earlier this year, Avril’s new album was near completion but she said that she considered the album too serious and “mellow” and would return to the studio to balance the album out. She returned to the studio with producer Alex Da Kid and began “exploring” new things to the point where she could state that she had enough material for two records.

In interviews earlier this month , Lavigne announced that her album had been completed for a year, citing her record company as the reason for the album’s delays. On the red carpet at the American Music Awards, she was able to reveal that her album is now ready for release with the title Goodbye Lullaby and the first single being “What The Hell” — which has been described as “a broad message about personal freedom”, calling it her “most pop track on the record”. She will begin filming the music video for the album this month and the album will be out in March.
