
The latest picture from animation giants Pixar has dominated the summer box office, grossing in excess of $940 million to overtake Shrek 2.
It's been eleven years since Toy Story 2 graced the big screen and fifteen years since Pixar introduced us to Woody and Buzz way back in 1995.
Shrek 2 has held the title of biggest grossing animation movie since it's release back in 2004 when it too over $919 million during it's theatrical run.
The Five Biggest Grossing Animation Movies of All Time:
1. Toy Story 3 - $940 million
2. Shrek 2 - $919 million
3. Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs - $886 million
4. Finding Nemo $867 million
5. Shrek The Third - $798 million
