Shakira Reveals New Album Title & Details

Shakira has revealed details about her upcoming bilingual album Sale El Sol or The Sun Rises.

The album has "A Strong Rock Side" as well as "Romantic" and "Latino" songs. "The best record of my career" says Shakira.

"I'm very excited about the new album, because it reminds me of different eras and stages of my career. It's like a synthesis of all these 20 years," she explained.

The star admitted that the album is very 'personal' and deals with issues such as heartbreak.

"It's been quite interesting to make this album, I've been reconnecting to myself," she said.

Speaking about her most recent LP 'She Wolf', she said that her favorite song was 'Men in this Town', which she was disappointed didn't become a single.

Sale El Sol is due for release this autumn.

Hmm...sounds promising. I hope Waka Waka wont be on it.

Waka Waka won't be on it.. it was specifically made for Fifa. Either way that was a wonderful song that's very uplifting.

I had a feeling she wasn't truly happy with her 'She Wolf' album.. you can see it in her performances.. it's not her true style of music nor her writing. You can see her totally change when she sings her older songs or covers of other songs she true loves. All her previous albums were written by her and had her natural culturally-influenced songs that had really deep meanings to them... so I'm really really glad she's going back to that :D
