Adam Lambert feels "honored" to be returning to the show that made him famous just one season ago. The glam rocker will mentor the Top 8 contestants on April 13.
He tweeted, "Even though I'm just at the start of my recording career, I hope to lend some insight as one who's been thru the 'Idol' adventure. Excited!!!" Previous mentors this season include Miley Cyrus and Usher.
The Season Eight runner-up will jam to a single from his debut album "For Your Entertainment" on the April 14 results show. He promises, "I will be beyond family friendly. Relax and enjoy." "American Idol" airs Tuesday and Wednesday nights on FOX.

This is such an effing joke.
No, having miley mentor the contestants was an effing joke!! Funny how Adam is doing it instead of the boring old Kris Allen who won last season. Can't wait!!
Now their really digging to the bottom of the barrel. I think I'll be skipping next week's Idol. I'll find out the numbers for who I like via some other website and text in a vote that way, but definitely will skip watching anything Lambert-related.
why do you keep complaining about Lambert? For what? Dont like his music?
I know everyone have rights to like and talk abt their fav, but have u ever think about Adam Lambert more equal? He is talented and genius in music. that's the thing to do. what's wrong if a talented artist mentor the contestants?
