Coldplay Releasing New Album This Year

Coldplay are back in the studio working on a new album in London and are hopeful it will be released before Christmas.

During an interview with Globo.com, lead singer Chris Martin commented on how they hope to make sure the material isn't leaked online. "There's only two people in the whole building who know how to open all the recording files. Even we [Coldplay] don't know how to do it. We couldn't even steal our own music at the moment. You would have to be a computer genius and a great burglar to get into the building, and download it, and mix it."

The album will be Coldplay's first since 2008's 'Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends'.

So I guess the rumor from last year that they were going to split up at the end of their Viva la Vida Tour is false?

Good!

Horray for real music by a real band.
