Great vocals! I really want to see sales for All I Ever Wanted to turn around... it's selling so poorly right now, it deserves much better. Check it out!

[MP3] Eminem- "The Warning"

It's an official song war between Eminem and Mariah Carey! The rapper started the now "feud" with Mariah after releasing his song "Bagpipes From Baghdad" which includes the following lyrics aimed at Mariah and her husband Nick Cannon: "Mariah, whatever happened to us? Why did we have to break up?" // "Nick Cannon better back the f*ck up, I'm not playin', I want her back you punk" // "I mean I really want you bad, c*nt. Nick, you had your fun, I've come to kick you in your sack of junk."

After Mariah heard the song she released the first single of her album Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel. The song called "Obsessed" was a reply to Eminem's track. In this single, Mariah sings "Why are you so obsessed with me? Boy I want to know! Lyin' that you're sexin' me." // "You're delusional, boy you're losing your mind." // "Tellin' the world how much you miss me, but we never were, so why you trippin'?" - and she took this a step further when she decided to play the part of Eminem on the music video for this song. Ha.

Finally, the latest piece of this song war between these two comes now that Eminem has released a new song called "The Warning" in reply to Mariah's "Obsessed", in this song, which is the most insulting out of all three he raps: "I’m obsessed now? Oh, gee. Is that supposed to be me in the video with the goatee? Wow Mariah. Didn’t expect you to go balls out. B*tch, shut the f*ck up before I put all them phone calls out.” // "Nick, fagg*t you think I'm scared of you? You gonna ruin my career? You better get one. Like I'm gonna sit and fight with you over some sl*t, b*tch, c*nt that made me put up with her psycho ass for over six months and only spread her legs to let me hit it once." - and that's just the begginning of the song. Whoa!

Eminem 1 - Mariah 0

This is very entertaining, but let me make it clear, I do not support Eminem's way of handling this situation. Degrading a woman like that only makes you look like a jerk, buddy. You're hurting yourself more than you are hurting Mariah. Now, let's sit and wait for Mariah's response. This is good.

Shakira has finally released the music video for her newest single "She Wolf" which is currently the most-added song to Top 40 radio. Like I said, the video is beyond hot. Her dancing is incredible, Wyclef Jean was right when he said "She makes a man want to speak Spanish."! Catchy song, great music video and even better dancing. Ah man, this is going to be in replay for me all night. Don't forger, Shakira's upcoming third English studio album hits stores in October. Thoughts?

Kanye West Claims to be the New King of Pop

“You know everyone loves and respects Michael but times change. It’s so sad to see Michael gone but it makes a path for a new King of Pop and I’m willing to take that on. There’s nobody who can match me in sales and in respect so it only makes sense for me to take over Michael’s crown and become the new King,” said West. “First there was Elvis, then there was Michael, now in the 21st century its Kanye’s time to rule. I have nothing but respect for Michael but someone needs to pick up where he left off and there’s nobody better than me to do that. I am the new King of Pop.”

Hey Kanye, a little newsflash for you: #1. Your music is not "pop". #2. You claim that "no one can match me in album sales". Yet, other male artists that have sold more albums than you since you came out include Justin Timberlake, Josh Groban, Eminem, 50 Cent, John Mayer, Ludacris and Nelly. And I mean, they have sold WAY more albums than you. #3. Get over yourself, you cocky piece of shit. You're not THAT good and no, you're definitely NOT the "new King of Pop", you never will be. Ok. I'm done. :)

Jordin Sparks- Battlefield Commercial

Demi Lovato Wins - #1 on the Billboard 200

Demi Lovato rules the Billboard 200 chart this week, as the Disney singer/actress' sophomore album Here We Go Again (Hollywood Records) debuts at No. 1 with 108,000 copies sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Her first set, Don't Forget, bowed at No. 2 less than a year ago with 89,000.

Elsewhere on the Billboard 200, Jordin Sparks' sophomore album Battlefield fights its way to a No. 7 debut, selling 48,000 copies. It's the "American Idol" winner's second top 10 set, as her 2007 self-titled debut entered and peaked at No. 10 with 119,000.

Last week's No. 1 album, Daughtry's Leave This Town, falls to No. 2 with just under 101,000 copies (down 63%). Maxwell's "BLACKsummers'night" slips one spot to No. 3 with 72,000 (down 30%) while the "Now 31" album holds at No. 4 with 58,000 (down 17%). The Hannah Montana 3 TV soundtrack falls to slots to No. 5 with 54,000 (down 26%) while the Black Eyed Peas' The E.N.D. is down one to No. 6 with 52,000 (down 4%). - Billboard.com

Kelly Clarkson Update

There has been a lot going around about Kelly Clarkson and her new single "Already Gone". During an interview, Clarkson exclaimed her anger towards Ryan Tedder for producing two songs with a similar sound. Kelly's "Already Gone" and Beyoncé's "Halo". Kelly said the following: "Ryan and I met each other at the record label, before he was working with anyone else ... We wrote about six songs together, four or five of them made the album. It was all fine and dandy. I’d never heard of a song called "Halo". [Beyoncé]'s album came out when my album was already being printed. No-one’s gonna be sittin' at home, thinking 'Man, Ryan Tedder gave Beyoncé and Kelly the same track to write to.' No, they’re just gonna be saying I ripped someone off. I called Ryan and said, 'I don’t understand. Why would you do that?".

Now, reports say that Clive Davis is angry that Kelly decided to speak about this issue and he is now threatening to cancel all further promotion for Kelly Clarkson's album All I Ever Wanted. Meaning no new singles, no more money into it, just letting the record die. Nothing has been confirmed yet.

Finally, Ryan Tedder, the man behind "Halo" and "Already Gone" has spoken and said the following: "Already Gone" is one of the best song I've written or produced since "Bleeding Love" and stands tall on it's own merits apart from "Halo". They are two entirely different songs conceptually, melodically, & lyrically and I would never try to dupe an artist such as Kelly Clarkson or Beyoncé into recording over the same musical track, the idea is both hurtful & absurd. I think when people hear "Already Gone" they will hear what I hear-one of the greatest female vocalists on earth giving her most haunting and heart-breaking performance on a song she helped write. I challenge people to listen and form their own opinions". And there it is! Drama all around.

Update- RCA Records has released the following official statement: "Kelly Clarkson is a valued member of the RCA Records family, we are very proud of her album "All I Ever Wanted" and happily continue to promote the record and support Kelly and her music."

Avril Lavigne Update

Billboard.com has tweeted that Avril Lavigne's new single off her fourth album will be released next month and various of her fansites, including Avril Bandaids are saying that the name of this single will be "Everybody Hurts", a song described to be "soulful and honest". It has also been reported that a song called "Darlin" will be included in this album, a song that Avril wrote when she was only fifteen-years old. Finally, reports are saying that Lavigne's new album "goes against the grain of todays pop music", pretty much meaning that this is the complete opposite of what her album The Best Damn Thing was and that it will be "returning to the emo-heavy strengths of her first two albums". Looks like the old Avril is back, people! Loving it.

The Top 20 Best-Selling New Acts of the 2000's

The 2000's era is fastly coming to an end! And to celebrate what a wonderful decade it has been, here's a list of the top new acts of the 2000's. Of the thousands of acts that have made their first appearances on The Billboard 200 since Jan. 1, 2000, these are the 20 that have sold the most albums. The list includes six pop stars, five rock groups, four rappers, three country acts and two R&B divas.

Artists who emerged early in the decade stood a much better chance of making the list than artists who broke through later. Sales peaked around 2000, and have been dropping since about 2004. So it's hard for even the hottest acts of recent years to compete with the eye-popping sales totals from the turn of the last decade.

Debut Sales Predictions for Lovato and Sparks

According to Hits Daily Double, Demi Lovato will have the week's top debut with her Here We Go Again album, with a total that should hit between 110-120k. That should be enough to put her on the race for the #1 spot on the Billboard 200, competing with rockers Daughtry. On the other hand, 19/Jive/JLG's Idol winner Jordin Sparks returns with her sophomore album, Battlefield, which should do between 45-50k, which should be good enough for a Top 10 debut.

I have to say, these predictions are a double-shocker. I did not expect Demi to go that high, so congrats to her. But I certainly did not expect Jordin's sales to be so incredibly low. Very discouraging.
