Poll Winners

Since there's nothing else to post today, I'll reveal the winners of the 'Who should be on the blog's new header' poll. Here are the clear winners:
23% - Lady GaGa (193 votes)
14% - Katharine McPhee (124 votes)
11% - Ke$ha (95 votes)
11% - Britney Spears (95 votes)

Since there was a tie between Ke$ha and Britney Spears, the fair thing to do would be to give the spot to Ke$ha, considering two things: 1. Her album comes out in January and 2. She's never been featured on the header. Fair enough?

New layout coming: January 2nd!!

Susan Boyle is Still at #1 in the US!

Susan Boyle's "I Dreamed a Dream" holds at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart for a fifth consecutive week, selling another 510,000 copies according to Nielsen SoundScan. So far, the set has shifted 2,982,000 copies in America.

"Dream" has sold more than half a million copies in each of its first five weeks of release -- something only four albums have done since SoundScan began tracking data in 1991. The Beatles' "1" did it in its first six weeks, while Garth Brooks' "Sevens" and Backstreet Boys' "Black & Blue" each managed 500,000-plus frames in their first five weeks.

With just one more tracking week left in the year, "Dream" may overtake Taylor Swift's "Fearless" as the year's top selling album in the U.S. Swift's "Fearless" has sold 3,157,000 in 2009 -- thus, the gap between the two is down to just 175,000. Because of a quirk in the calendar, instead of 52 tracking weeks in 2009, there are 53. The final week of 2009 will reflect sales data for the week ending Jan. 3. Because four out of the seven days in that week fall in 2009, the full week gets credited to 2009.

Because Boyle continues to dominate the Billboard 200, a superstar diva is forced to sit on the sidelines again this week: Mary J. Blige's "Stronger With Each Tear" debuts at No. 2 with 330,000 copies.

The rest of this week's top 10 albums on the Billboard 200 remains full of familiar titles. Andrea Bocelli's "My Christmas" holds at No. 3 with 284,000 (down 27%) while Alicia Keys' "Freedom" falls two slots to No. 4 with 280,000 (down 33%). Taylor Swift's "Fearless" moves down one rung to No. 5 with 224,000 (down 6%), while Lady Gaga's "The Fame" stays put at No. 6 with 169,000 (up 20%). Justin Bieber's "My World" EP climbs from No. 8 to No. 7 with 157,000 (up 23%) while Carrie Underwood's "Play On" slides three slots to No. 8 with 153,000 (down less than 1%). Closing out the top 10 is Michael Buble's "Crazy Love," down three positions, with 137,000 (down 3%).

The Best Damn Songs of 2009!

Another year has come and gone, and with it, many songs that will be remembered for a long time to come. During the last couple of weeks, I have gone through a list of hit singles that were released this year. For this year, the videos were chosen after taking into consideration the following: chart performance, radio airplay, digital sales, music video quality and of course, personal favoritism. The thirty videos chosen were not only great hits, but also songs that I know will reflect what a great year 2009 was. No more say, The Best Damn Blog Presents: 2009's Best Damn Songs.

The Jeff Dunham Show Not Coming Back

Comedy Central won't be renewing "The Jeff Dunham Show" for a second season.

The show, featuring comedian Jeff Dunham and his repertoire of puppets, attracted plenty of attention, both positive and negative. Its debut drew 5.3 million viewers, a season premiere record for Comedy Central. But most of the reviews were terrible, and ratings dwindled during the season.

Comedy Central spokesman Steve Albani says the network will continue "to be in business with Jeff in a big way," including a live tour, standup special, DVDs and consumer-products partnership.

-Sad to see this one go so soon. The man's hilarious, I loved this show.

Britney Spears Goes Dark... Again

Britney Spears is going to go bald for good after dying her hair so freakin' much. Here she is in a new paparazzi picture showing off her "new" look. Once again a brunette. For the millionth time in the past two years, ha. Check it out.

Taylor and Taylor Split Up

After three months of dating, country singer Taylor Swift and New Moon star Taylor Lautner have split, UsMagazine.com has learned.

"It wasn't really developing into anything, and wasn't going to, so they decided they were better as friends," a source close to Swift, 20, tells Us. "There was no chemistry."

The pair -- who met on the set of the romantic comedy Valentine's Day -first sparked rumors of a romance when she hugged him at her October 9 concert in Rosemont, Illinois. They have since been spotted on several wholesome dates like their frozen yogurt date at Menchie's alongside Swift's mom earlier this month -- and have each coyly alluded to their relationship on separate Saturday Night Live hosting gigs.

However, the relationship officially fizzled when Lautner, 17, flew to Nashville for Swift's birthday party on Dec. 13, a friend of the singer reveals.

"He liked her more than she liked him," the source tells Us. "He went everywhere he could to see her, but she didn't travel much to see him."

Kourtney Kardashian's Baby Boy

Just two weeks after Kourtney Kardashian welcomed her firstborn into the world, little Mason Dash Disick experienced Baby's First Photo Shoot, with the first snaps of the babe, along with camera-ready mama Kourtney and dad Scott Disick, appearing in Life & Style.

"I feel so lucky," Kardashian told the mag. "He's such a good baby." And one whose middle name required a little bit of explaining…

"Dash is not for my clothing store, as some people have suggested online. That would be stupid. Dash is short for Kardashian, and it was my father's nickname."

[MP3] Lady Antebellum- "Need You Now" Pop Mix

Looks like they're going after the Taylor Swift strategy to sell. Lady Antebellum have released a Pop remix of their hit single "Need You Now". Never been a fan of Country songs that get the Pop remix treatment. But anyway, here it is. Enjoy!
