An origin story set in the futuristic Metro City,
Astro Boy is about a newly created robot (Freddie Highmore) with many powers, created by the grieving scientist Dr. Tenma (Nicolas Cage), in the image of the son that he has lost. Unable to fulfill the fathers' expectations, the robot embarks on a journey in search of acceptance, becoming part of a group of rowdy kids on the surface world below the floating city. There he meets a girl named Cora (Kristen Bell) and inadvertently becomes part of a world of robot gladiators led by the greedy, Fagin-like ringmaster Hamegg (Nathan Lane), before he returns to save Metro City from the evil president's (Donald Sutherland) renegade giant robot, and reconcile with the father who had rejected him.

"Special Agent Strahm is dead, and Detective Hoffman has emerged as the unchallenged successor to Jigsaw's legacy. However, when the FBI draws closer to Hoffman, he is forced to set a game into motion, and Jigsaw's grand scheme is finally understood."
Saw VI was shot in Toronto under the direction of Kevin Greutert from a screenplay by Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan (the writing team behind Saw IV and V). The film is produced by Twisted Pictures' Mark Burg and Oren Koules.
The cast includes Costas Mandylor as Hoffman, Mark Rolston (Saw V, The Departed) as FBI Agent Erickson, Betsy Russell as Jill, Tobin Bell as Jigsaw, Shawnee Smith as Amanda, and Peter Outerbridge (ReGenesis, Land of the Dead) as William.
