Hilary Duff to Release Greatest Hits Album Instead
It's been announced that Hilary Duff has dropped plans of releasing a new studio album via Hollywood Records as she is ready to leave that record company due to several differences. Hilary has been signed to Hollywood Records since 2002 - and they were behind the success of her debut album Metamorphosis which sold 3.8 million copies in the U.S., Hilary also went on to release two additional Platinum albums, her self-titled sophomore effort in 2004 as well as her Greatest Hits compilation called Most Wanted in 2005. However, Duff feels like her record company is spending no time or effort in promoting her like they are promoting Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers. In order to complete her contract with Hollywood Records, Duff has decided to release another Greatest Hits album instead of a studio album. This compilation will be released in September under the name Best of and will include the single "Reach Out and Touch Me". It's also been reported that Hilary is already in talks with other record companies. So I'm guessing we'll have to wait until next year to hear new music from the younger Duff. Check out the album's cover above.
