The Best Damn Blog presents the Worst Damn Winner of America's Next Top Model: Saleisha, better known as, Dora the Explorer.
Episode recap? I'm too discouraged for one, but I'll do it anyway. Yes, they had to do a CoverGirl commercial for their new product. Chantal did amazing, Jenah did alright, and Saleisha struggled and after a long twenty takes, she managed to do a commercial. Then it was the ad photoshoot. This time, Jenah's picture was great. Chantal looked damn pretty, and yes, Saleisha's was nice, but the worst in the group. Time for judging. First call? Chantal, bottom two: Jenah and Saleisha. Tyra decides to keep Saleisha around because she thinks Jenah's personality doesn't fit her Top Model requirements. Bull. Anyway, Chantal and Saleisha are final two. They shot their Seventeen Magazine covers and did the runway walk. Yeah, Saleisha is a great walker... Chantal had her little trips here and there - she even made a guy fall, lmao. But anyway, in the end, the judges discuss and announce Saliesha as America's Next Top Model, even though Chantal looks a lot more like a top model than Saleisha. I've wasted three months watching this show, to see Dora the Explorer win, how awesome is that? Forget the next season, I refuse to watch unless we're in charge of picking the winner. For the second year in a row, Tyra and her gang has chosen the worst damn winner. Remember Jaslene? Anyway, hopefully I'll be able to upload the final photos this week.

But, hell! Saleisha won?? Are you serious? Holy crap. You're right, she is the worst winner ever!
Either Jenah or Chantal were MUCH better choices. Geez. I'm not watching the episode now that I know who won. Yikes.

hey don't runner-ups and other contestants have more success than winners? i'm sure heather, chantal, and jenah will have better careers than saleisha
I knew they were going to pick Saleisha! Jenah was my choice from the beginning, and they made all that crap up about her attitude! And if Jaslene would just eat something she would be fine!
YES! Jenah's "attitude" thing was blown out of proportion. I actually liked Jenah's personality better than anybody elses. Jenah to me was the winner this season, even if she ended up in third place.
i hear that Twiggy quit as a host for next season. Come to think about it, from seasons 6-9 she has always choses the runner-ups to be the winners, yet, her word seems to get ignored.

Cycle 8 - she voted for Natasha

Thank God! I am so glad Saleisha won, she deserved it, she was the best out of those three. I would have prefered Saleisha, Lisa, and Bianca as the final three but whatever, as long as Leish won. Yall stop hatin cuz the black girl won, she was the best, get over it. Somebody had to say it.
Haha, well, come to think of it, it has little to do with race. I still think Cycle 3 winner, Eva, is one of the best winners yet, and she's black. It's just that Saleisha does not look as good as Jenah or Chantal, specially with that hair! Hell yeah, she's a good runway model, but definietely not a picture model.
My top 3 would've been Heather, Lisa, and Jenah. That would've been a strong top 3.
I have to agree i was pretty dissapointed that Saleisha won! I picked Heather and Jenah to be in the top 2 from the begining because they both took AMAZING PHOTOS! I definitely think that Jenah or Chantal is more deserving than Saleisha would have been. On the other hand JASLENE IS MY GIRL! I picked her to win it from the begining and SHE IS FIERCE. I loved the whole season of Cycle 9 just dissapointed in the outcome but i guess i will just have to wait til next season!
Jaslene just needs to put on at least 10 pounds... maybe that way, she won't look like such a drag queen. Lmao.
I don't know what you are talking about. Saleisha was undeniably the best one out of the 3. Her runway performance was AMAZING. she did so much better then chantal; and in the end you know that Saleisha will be a better model. I have to agree with you on season 8 though. I think Jaslene was a horrible choice. She can barley speak. You can't even understand what she is saying. how can you be a covergirl and not be able to speak? I didn't think anyone from season 8 was top model potential. i mean all jaslene has done is be in 17 magazine; and that was part of winning! other then that; ONE runway appearence. i know it takes a while to book things but its been almost a year. Jaslene is a good model but should never have won
Tyra can choose who she wants its her damn show and face it the girls of color are the only ones from the show that are even seen again and making money stop being haters and buy some fashion magazines Saleisha has the looks and the right personality to make it those two rag dolls that made it to final did not need to win they were lucky to get that far tyra nos what she is doing but it is easy to hate on something when you no nothing

Ok, Tyra knows what she's doing. I like all the winners and I love that show. Jaslene was great. She had confidence all the way thru and her runway walk at the end was GREAT! She has also been on the cover of Latina and I think she will do good. I heard that the cycle 1 winner, Adriene, didn't get the prizes she was supposed to get. Any truth to that?
