According to the Hits Daily Double's album sales chart for this week, Josh Groban's christmas album, "Noel", will take the #1 spot for the first time since its debut seven weeks ago, selling well over 400,000 copies! Most of its sales bump comes from not only Black Friday, but also his appearance on Oprah last week. Now, Alicia Keys falls to #2 after a 53% sales drop to about 330,000 copies of "As I Am" - enough to shoot her total album sales over the one million mark in just two weeks. The High School Musical 2 soundtrack had an amazing sales increase of 141%, enough to bring the album back up into the top 5, selling another 190,000 copies this week. Carrie Underwood's "Carnival Ride" climbs 9-7 after a 19% sales increase to another 140,000 copies sold - this should also bring Underwood's numbers to over one million albums sold. Another Platinum hit for her. Chris Brown's "Exclusive" climbs 10-8 with a 18% sales bump to 120,000 copies and American Idol winner Jordin Sparks' self-titled debut album debuts in a very dissapointing #9 spot selling 120,000 copies as well - this makes Jordin the worst debut number for any American Idol winner. Ouch! A full list of numbers will be released tomorrow (Wednesday) night.
