The Hills, Episode 4: Recap

This is a detailed recap of what happened on the fourth episode of season three of MTVs The Hills, written by me. If you have not watched the episode and would not like to know what happened then stop reading. Big spoilers coming up.

The new episode began with Heidi and Spencer visiting a Jewelry store, Heidi wanted to resize her engagement ring. It is there where Heidi asks Spencer to go with her to visit her family over the coming weekend, he agrees, although he does not look too happy because he already had plans. Brody and Spencer visit a car store, it's there where Spencer tell Brody that he won't go to their barbecue because he's going away with Heidi to vist her whole family - Brody is upset because they had a barbecue planned for that weekend for over two months. Afterall, Spencer decided to go away with Heidi saying hes "Excited" to meet her family. Back to the BBQ topic, at dinner, Lauren tells Audrina and Lo that Brody wanted them to go, and they agree. Audrina asks if it's ok to invite her "love interest" Justin, Lauren seems ok with it. After the break, Heidi and Spencer arrive to Heidi's small home town in Colorado. Heidi's mom comes out to greet them as well as Heidi's stepfather, siter and brother, they've all met and seem to like each other. Spencer then calls Brody to check in to the BBQ, Spencer seems bored, as everyone else in the BBQ is having fun. Avril Lavigne's upcoming single "Hot" is heard on the background as everyone in the BBQ play around and have tons of fun in the beach. Back to the outback in Colorado, Spencer and Heidi's family go shopping, her stepdad talks to her about Spencer to make sure they're taking their relatioship slow, later on while eating, everything seems peaceful until Heidi's dad takes Spencer out to talk one-on-one about Heidi, he does not seem too happy with the relationship - but he accepts it. On the other side, Heidi's mom seems happy about their relationship, BUT she is concerned that if they do brake up - what will happen then? Heidi says she's got a lot of friend to go to, when all of the sudden, Lauren is brought up in the conversation. Heidi's mom is sad about their dying friendship, but Heidi tells her that she is not in the mood to talk about it, and ends it by saying that she does not think Lauren and her will ever be friends again. At dinner, all the family talks and they're impressed with Spencer's "commitement", but they warn him that they'll go through hard times - but then Lauren is brought up in the conversation once again, Heidi's mom is clearly upste that they're not friends anymore, Heidi once again ends it by saying, "Why are we talking about Lauren?" In the end, they all go to bed on that note. Switching gears and flipping back to the BBQ, Lauren and Audrina are sitting as they watch JustinBobby flirt with other girls and pay no attention to Audrina. Brody asks where Whitney is, but Lauren tells him that she was not feeling well at all. Later on Audrina and Lauren sit to talk and Lauren tears up because she is also sad about her dead friendship with Heidi, then tells Audrina she loves her and could'nt have asked for a better roomate. Audrina is not left behind, Justin leaves without her and she says she's now done with Justin, Lauren and Audrina hug again and take off. On the next episode, Brody's and Spencer's friendship also take a drop because Spencer does not appreciate Brody hanging out with his "enemy", Lauren. Whoa, it just gets better and better!
