2007 Country Music Association Awards: Nominees

The 41st Annual CMA Awards will be broadcast live from the Sommet Center in Nashville Wednesday, Nov. 7 (8:00-11:00 PM ET/delayed PT) on ABC Television Network. The final nominees in select categories were announced live Thursday, Aug. 30 on national television during “Good Morning America” with Sara Evans and Sugarland from the “Good Morning America” studios located in the heart of New York City’s Times Square. Leading the pack of nods is Brad Paisley who earned 5 total nominations for "Entertainer of the Year", "Male Vocalist of the Year", "Single of the Year" for his single "Ticks", "Album of the Year" for "5th Gear", and "Music Video of the Year" for "Online". George Strait also packed 5 nominations, followed close behind by "American Idol" winner, Carrie Underwood who was nominated for 4 awards including "Female Vocalist of the Year", "Song of the Year", "Single of the Year", and "Music Video of the Year" for her hit "Before He Cheats". Other nominees include Martina McBride with 4 nominations, Kenny Chesney with 4, Michelle Branch and Jessica Harp's duo The Wreckers received a nomination for "Vocal Duo of the Year"and new comers like Taylor Swift and Kellie Pickler were nominated for the "Horizon Award" - their version of "Best New Artist".
