Out on the Big Screen Today

Two big comedies hit the big screens today. None really caught my attention so I guess I won't be watching either one of these. But here they are anyway.
First up, the Mike Myers comedy - The Love Guru. This movie has been getting heavy promotion for a couple of months now, let's see if it pays off after the numbers come in this weekend. The film also stars Jessica Alba and Justin Timberlake.
And finally, Get Smart also opens today. The film is an adaptation of the 1960s spy parody show of the same name. This film stars Steve Carell, Anne Hathaway and Dwayne Johnson. Check out the movie poster above.

Out Today: Good Luck Chuck + Sydney White

Finally, after a few number of weeks without a worthy movie release come Good Luck Chuck and Sydney White, two comedy films that look hilarious! In Good Luck Chuck, when Chuck (Dane Cook) refused to kiss a goth girl when he was ten years old, she placed a curse on him: every single woman he sleeps with will break up with him and marry the next man she meets. Chuck soon realizes this pattern and becomes hopeful that single women will seek him out as a date, so they will soon find Mr. Right. He then meets Cam Wexler (Jessica Alba), a lovable but clumsy penguin trainer. However, he finds himself in a conundrum, as she constantly tries to convince him to have sex, something he tries to avoid because he doesn't want her to marry someone else. The film is rated R by the MPAA for sequences of strong sexual content including crude dialogue and nudity, language, and drug use. Soubnds damn good and I can't wait to watch this one!

Now, on Sydney White, college freshman Sydney White (Amanda Bynes) has come to Southern Atlantic University to pledge her late mom's once-dignified sorority. But, while surviving the pledging process wrought by evil campus witch mean-spirited Rachel Witchburn (Sara Paxton), Syd finds out this version of sisterhood isn't remotely what it's cracked up to be. Banished to a condemned house on Greek Row, Syd finds her rightful place with a band of seven very socially challenged guys. With the help of one lovestruck frat boy named Tyler (Matt Long), she and the doofs campaign to take over student government. Fighting for the rights of misfits big and small, Syd organizes her gang to revolutionize the system, once and for all. Sounds great as well. The film is rated PG-13 by the MPAA for some language, sexual humor, and partying
.
Good wekkend to watch movies!
