Cher Lloyd's "Swagger Jagger" Debuts at #1!
The song may be musical diarrhea, but that didn't stop her fans from making it debut at #1 on this week's official UK singles chart. Cher Lloyd, as you may recall, finished fourth during the past season of the UK's The X Factor and has since released "Swagger Jagger" as her debut single. The song has also made its debut at #1 in Scotland and #2 in Ireland. You don't always have to win these shows to become a success.

Amazon UK posted the album cover for Cher Lloyd's debut album, which you can see above. They also announced the release date for the album, currently scheduled to hit stores on August 22, 2011. I'm excited to hear this girl's music.

Cher Lloyd Gets A Recording Contract from Will.I.Am
Cher Lloyd may have lost X Factor, but we imagine right now she's saying to herself, "So what?!"
will.i.am has reportedly made good on his previous promise, and has offered the reality contestant a recording contract!
Sources report that The Black Eyed Peas singer, who was already on hand during the Finals to accompany her in a duet, promised to make Lloyd a huge star only moments after she was eliminated backstage!
The insider explains:
"He vowed to help her grow and develop as a recording artist. Will also spoke to her family, promising them he'll try to make her a star."

She could be a success if promoted right here in the states. She's pretty good, different.
