Pia in the bottom 3 instead of Paul? Really? Remember last night when I mentioned the teen girl vote? Looks like a white smile outweighs great vocals. Bullsh!t. I don't understand. If anybody deserved to go home tonight was Paul.
On to other news, that save was completely wasted on Casey two weeks ago. Congrats judges.
Pretty angry at tonight's results to say the least. Pia deserved to be in the Top 2, she was the best contestant this season.

The show ended for me too tonight. It's not right. It's just not right. Stefano, Casey, Paul, Jacob, Scotty and James are all weak singers compared to Pia. It's a big sausage fest on Idol now. This is ridiculous.
Having Jacob and Pia in the bottom 3 this week was a travesty to say the least. There is no way Pia should go home yet. Although I wasn't a huge fan of her last performance, she has proven throughout this show she has one of the best voices in it. America got this wrong. I almost wonder if idol is thinking of a way of safe guarding from something like this happening again. Personally I wouldn't mind having a combination of Judges votes and peoples votes, at least until you got to the top 5 or 6
I'm with everyone on this! I'm angry!!! This is definitely the worst elimination to date. And I agree with the poster that said that it was a travesty that Jacob & Pia were both in the bottom 3. What's going on? And yes, the save was WASTED on Casey. He was fun at first, then he got scary, and now he's just boring. WASTED!!!! Just...so angry!
this ranks with chris daughtry and jennifer hudson getting let go too early. i can only hope pia rises to their heights. i'm disliking casey even more right now...the show has officially ended for me. bring on xfactor.
Motherflipper!!! This is bull! Pia was the best singer in the competition. Ladies were killin it this season. I think you're right, it's about the teen girls voting for who's cute. Like someone above me said hope she is as sucsessful as Chris and Jenniffer.
Not happy with the results at all. Either Casey or Stefano should have left, hell through Paul in there with the two. Females are a lot stronger this season. Lauren or Pia was my top two...Now I have only one. America better not screw up the rest of the season.
I love Casey and I love Paul ... But I have to admit, it's getting old seeing average voiced, and average talented guys winning this show then going on to ultimately sell 100k or so albums...
I'll continue watching the show as long as Haley and Lauren are still in it, like I said, i still love Paul and Casey too, but theres no way in hell PIA should've gone home....
It should've been Stefano... Or Paul sadly. PIA should've gone top 5.

does this show ever go the way people think it will? if Pia is that talented, she'll do just fine. i actually like Paul, but that's just me, and everyone else whose been keeping him on the show.
American Idol ended for me tonight. This show is no longer about vocals. Stefano, Thia and Pia have/had the best voices. The judges are pretty dumb. Instead of judging each contestant against eachother (the way it used to be), they set a personal standard for each singer. Randy constantly nitpicked at Pia, Thia and Stafano and that hurts them, but Paul is praised for being terrible. I'm done watching this season, I may check on it for Stefano, but if he goes then I just don't GAF! Almost all the girls are gone. I feel like the audience doesn't vote for the girls. This needs to be more like DWTS; judges vote and make a contribution and we vote too.. It would even it out. Plus the voteds by the audience should be limited like onDWTS.
Pia and Paul are my favorites this season. Way too soon for Pia to go home...she should have made it to the finals! The save should have been saved for a week like this week...Casey was such a bogus choice imho. The voting needs to change somehow. Definitely looking forward to the X-Factor and hoping they announce their judges soon. Hoping for Jessica Simpson.

i think she doesn't deserved to go home, but she's not THAT GREAT either, all she can sing is ballad. N when she comes out with an up-tempo songs, even i can hear she struggles with it...

I'm very upset. PIA is one of the best. And have anyone noticed that ALL of the minorities are slowly leaving each week.
We had Ashton, Karen, Thia, Naima, and now Pia.
Next week will be either Jacob or Stefano, but they both will eventually leave by the next two weeks.
My prediction is Paul.
I actually think that Stefano or Jacob should've gone home, but Paul is not one of my favorites either. I don't want to say "I told you so," but, I called it when I knew that the save was completely wasted on Casey, and that the judges would definitely regret it. Funny how they said it was America's fault for not voting, while it was also theirs for using the save on a guy who wouldn't have won anyway.
it was ok and Pia have amazing talent but I say lat time she isn't memorable at all in her perfomances.
They don't waste it in Casey he is amazing you people just don't get it as well as Paul and James they are awesome I think in the end will be they three and maybe Lauren istead of one of them and if he got lucky Stefano even I hate him and he sucks and that's the pefect case of how much a good looking person can go on that competicion along with Tim Urban from the last season not Paul, he have real talent and interesting voice so get over it he is to STAY!!!.
Oh and I forget it not just Stefano show us how a good looking person can go far on that competition Scotty also he have a good country voice but he is just not memorable he just need to smile and do that wear "player" look with his eyes and his eyebrowns and he got the votes to stay for me the ones that need to go at the moment are between Stefano, Jacob, Haley and Scotty they are just like whatever Lauren, James, Casey and Paul deserve to go far they do amazing perfomances and memorable ones and have good voices.
Is The Voice gets second season Pia needs to go there cause it doesn't matter how boring u are performing u need to have good voice so she should go there.

Not trying to sound rude or anything but me and my friends used to follow ur website everyday till u started posting this crap about american idol.. i mean.. you do it Daily!!!....??? so yea, i hope you stop posting that much info about the stupid american idol and focus on general music news instead...
Anonymous, I know a lot of people may not like it, but I get the most response out of my American Idol posts. I can't stop posting the things that get me the most in return.
American Idol is wonderful and leads people to tremendous hilarity. Pia getting voted off is really the biggest travesty EVER on American Idol???? I agree Pia didn't "deserve" to go as she was one of the best singers but its a vote...lowest total goes home. It really doesn't matter anyway. The runners up generally make better albums anyway without the interference that Idol seems to bring. The only real exceptions to this are Kelly, Carrie and David. Every other winner pretty much stinks, while you have a host of "also rans" that put out excellent albums, Daughtry, Crystal, Adam to name a few. Plus Jennifer Hudson has made the most of being voted off early on Idol me thinks. Still a great show that makes me tune in every week and love every minute of it.
One big contributing factor this year is the judging. There basically is none. Although I like Steven Tyler, he offers nothing constructive to the singers. Everyone is the best thing since sliced bread. J lo is the same way. Randy has sure softened as well, and at times earlier in the season, and late last season he might be able to take over where Simon left off, and now he almost never says dawg that isn't working for me anymore. They need at least one judge who will tell it like it is. Simon provided that, and to a certain degree so did Kara Diguardi. The judges are more interested in being the singers friends than judging the talent. I think they should bring in someone like Pierz Morgan into this show to spice things up, or even that James guy who does the mentoring.
This show is not only about the voice, but also the personality and I have to say that even though Pia's voice was incredible (in a Celine/Mariah type of way - high praise indeed), she seemed very robotic in a lot of ways and her performance qualities when moving were very uncomfortable. Along with that, beautiful girls never win on this show (Carrie Underwood is pretty, but not beautiful like Pia) and she was styled so badly by Gwen Stefani on this last show.
As far as Jacob goes, that really arrogant, stupid comment he made before singing where he said that if he is in the bottom 3, it will be because he sang perfectly, but America just couldn't look at themselves in the mirror (that kind of arrogance, mixed with the religious morality thing of changing Marvin Gaye's song, just doesn't win people over) is what caused him to be in the bottom - and also being first for the night (never a good thing). As far as Stefano goes, nice guy, good singer, but sort of boring.
This show is now full of great singers with personalities, so almost every week is gonna be a surprise. Get over yourself if you say this elimination is going to keep you from watching in the future. What did you expect with such a high caliber of singers this year? Oh, and Pia will totally be okay. With her pre-formed musical abilites and star quality, she's gonna do just fine, I guarantee it.
