Lady Gaga has finally released the first single from her upcoming album Born This Way. The song of the same title has already reached #1 on iTunes (yes, it hit #1 a lot faster than Britney's single)! I'm not crazy about this song though. Sounds very Madonna-ish. What do you think??

very madonna, but very gaga at the same time. feels like a copy-cat but not really at the same time. I'd rather see britney do better than gaga comparing "born this way" and "hold it against me."

Yeah, I agree it's a little madonna, but Gaga herself is too. I like it, I'm sure it'll do well on the charts. From what she's said, I expect the album will be pretty varied, so I'm still very excited about her upcoming album. Thanks for sharing, but this song is most definitely worth buying too~!
I'm also disappointed...not that the song is bad, it's just a lot less than what I had expected. And it is really Madonna-ish and I don't like Madonna. "Hold It Against Me" is better.
The first commentor is right. It's very Madonna, but it's also very GaGa. It's a perfect mix of two brilliant women and what's better than that? And EFF the Brit Brit v. GaGa comparsions, they are BOTH bad ass, so I vote we love both and drop the argument. Who's with me? :)
I'm sorry but this is sad... gaga just ripped off Madonna's style. She's not unique at all.

It just channels all of Madonna's self empowerment anthems from year's past. Express Yourself mashed up with Spotlight and maybe a little bit of Deeper and Deeper. Plus, it always cracks me up when you have people laud Gaga or Britney and then say they can't stand Madonna. Those bitches wouldn't have anyone to copy if it wasn't for Madge.
The song is pretty good. The message is good. The "don't be a drag, just be a queen" part is stupid though. Kinda ruined the song for me.
