Kara DioGuardi Not Coming Back to American Idol

According to TMZ.com, Kara DioGuardi has been fired from FOX's hit show.

Although the songwriter apparently was given the pink slip, DeGeneres made the decision on her own to leave the talent show immediately, opting out of the remainder of a four-year contract.

With DeGeneres out, Jennifer Lopez is reportedly close to signing a deal to take over the empty seat, a person familiar with the negotiations told The Associated Press.

But that's not the only big change in store for "Idol."

If all deals go as planned, the reality show reportedly will revert to its original three-judge format, consisting of Lopez, Steve Tyler (Aerosmith) and original judge Randy Jackson.

Well, okay then.

No, I like Kara too. I'm rather sad to see her go.

Why would they fire her? She's the only good judge left in Idol after Simon... randy's just... err... dawg... lol

Anyway i'm fine with Jeniffer Lopez (barely) but who the hell is judge "Tyler"?

Steve Tyler of Aerosmith

Glad to see Ellen leave and Kara. Ellen just never really fit in, and Kara always gave such boring critique. Steven Tyler from Aerosmith would be fine, but Jennifer Lopez shouldn't be a judge. Still think the show will sink without Simon. He was the only judge who actually knew what he was talking about. Waiting until next year for the X-Factor!!
