It's Official: Paula Abdul Leaves American Idol

Paula Abdul has taken it to Twitter to make the announcement of her decision to leave American Idol. She says:

With sadness in my heart, I’ve decided not to return to IDOL. I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all...Cont'd…

I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent,but most of all being a part of a show that I helped from day1become an international phenomenon.

What I want to say most, is how much I appreciate the undying support and enormous love that you have showered upon me.

It truly has been breathtaking, especially over the past month.

I do without any doubt have the BEST fans in the entire world and I love you all.

We've seen this woman on the show since Season One seven years ago! How is this going to be the same without her? Certainly, the show will not be as entertaining without Paula, and now, it's only a matter of time until Simon Cowell says he won't come back either. I would say I won't continue to watch the show, but I'm definitely curious as to what road this will take without Paula, and now with Kara DioGuardi as the main female judge. Hah. I guess this is the beginning of the end of American Idol? We'll see what happens. What I will say though is, we'll miss Paula on the show! That's for damn sure.
