Madonna's newest studio album release, Hard Candy is headed straight to the #1 spot on the new issue of the Billboard 200 top-selling albums chart. The album was released after "4 Minutes" became her highest-charting single since 2000's "Music" which peaked at #1, and although the single was widely successful, Hard Candy only managed to sell 280,000 copies during its first week of release, which is a dissapointing 70,000 copies drop from what Confessions on a Dance Floor sold during the first week back in 2005. Either way, this album becomes Madonna's seventh #1 album, which is very impressive. Congrats to Madonna.
