Lady Gaga- "Born This Way" Lyrics

INTRO:
It doesn't matter if you love him, or capital H-I-M
Just put your paws up
'cause you were Born This Way, Baby

VERSE:
MY MAMA TOLD ME WHEN I WAS YOUNG
WE ARE ALL BORN SUPERSTARS

SHE ROLLED MY HAIR AND PUT MY LIPSTICK ON
IN THE GLASS OF HER BOUDOIR

"THERE'S NOTHIN WRONG WITH LOVIN WHO YOU ARE"
SHE SAID, "'CAUSE HE MADE YOU PERFECT, BABE"

"SO HOLD YOUR HEAD UP GIRL AND YOU'LL GO FAR,
LISTEN TO ME WHEN I SAY"

CHORUS:
I'M BEAUTIFUL IN MY WAY
'CAUSE GOD MAKES NO MISTAKES
I'M ON THE RIGHT TRACK BABY
I WAS BORN THIS WAY

DON'T HIDE YOURSELF IN REGRET
JUST LOVE YOURSELF AND YOU'RE SET
I'M ON THE RIGHT TRACK BABY
I WAS BORN THIS WAY

POST-CHORUS:
OOO THERE AIN'T NO OTHER WAY
BABY I WAS BORN THIS WAY
BABY I WAS BORN THIS WAY
OOO THERE AIN'T NO OTHER WAY
BABY I WAS BORN-
I'M ON THE RIGHT TRACK BABY
I WAS BORN THIS WAY

DON'T BE A DRAG -JUST BE A QUEEN
DON'T BE A DRAG -JUST BE A QUEEN
DON'T BE A DRAG -JUST BE A QUEEN
DON'T BE!

VERSE:
GIVE YOURSELF PRUDENCE
AND LOVE YOUR FRIENDS
SUBWAY KID, REJOICE YOUR TRUTH

IN THE RELIGION OF THE INSECURE
I MUST BE MYSELF, RESPECT MY YOUTH

A DIFFERENT LOVER IS NOT A SIN
BELIEVE CAPITAL H-I-M (HEY HEY HEY)
I LOVE MY LIFE I LOVE THIS RECORD AND
MI AMORE VOLE FE YAH (LOVE NEEDS FAITH)

REPEAT CHORUS + POST-CHORUS

BRIDGE:
DON'T BE A DRAG, JUST BE A QUEEN
WHETHER YOU'RE BROKE OR EVERGREEN
YOU'RE BLACK, WHITE, BEIGE, CHOLA DESCENT
YOU'RE LEBANESE, YOU'RE ORIENT
WHETHER LIFE'S DISABILITIES
LEFT YOU OUTCAST, BULLIED, OR TEASED
REJOICE AND LOVE YOURSELF TODAY
'CAUSE BABY YOU WERE BORN THIS WAY

NO MATTER GAY, STRAIGHT, OR BI,
LESBIAN, TRANSGENDERED LIFE
I'M ON THE RIGHT TRACK BABY
I WAS BORN TO SURVIVE
NO MATTER BLACK, WHITE OR BEIGE
CHOLA OR ORIENT MADE
I'M ON THE RIGHT TRACK BABY
I WAS BORN TO BE BRAVE

REPEAT CHORUS

OUTRO/REFRAIN:
I WAS BORN THIS WAY HEY!
I WAS BORN THIS WAY HEY!
I'M ON THE RIGHT TRACK BABY
I WAS BORN THIS WAY HEY!

Britney Spears Debuts Strong at #1 on Billboard

Britney Spears
becomes just the second artist in the Billboard Hot 100's 52-year history to debut multiple songs at No. 1, as "Hold It Against Me" blasts in at the summit.

Spears previously launched at the apex with "3" the week of Oct. 24, 2009. She joins Mariah Carey as the only acts to arrive at No. 1 more than once. Carey made such grand entrances with "Fantasy" and "One Sweet Day" in 1995 and "Honey" in 1997.

"Hold It Against Me" is the 18th song to debut at No. 1 and the first since Ke$ha's "We R Who We R" the week of Nov. 13, 2010.

The track is Spears' fourth No. 1 on the Hot 100. Prior to "3," she reigned with her debut single "...Baby One More Time" (two weeks, 1999) and "Womanizer" (one week, 2008).

"Hold It Against Me" starts atop Digital Songs with 411,000 downloads sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan. As previously reported, the sum marks the highest debut frame by a lead female artist, besting the 325,000 shifted by Taylor Swift's "Today Was a Fairytale" the week of Feb. 6, 2010.

On Radio Songs, "Hold It Against Me" begins at No. 23 with 45 million first-week audience impressions, according to Nielsen BDS. The song's No. 23 entrance is the chart's best since Mariah Carey's "Touch My Body" began at the same rank the week of March 1, 2008.

Britney Spears Breaking All Kinds of Records With New Single

Britney Spears’ new single has made a record-breaking debut in the US.

The star’s latest track ‘Hold It Against Me’ – released immediately after its radio premiere last week – has gained the highest amount of radio play for the last seven days in Billboard’s 18-year history.

The website reports that the song was played over 4,000 times across the States last week, launching it to number 16 on the chart company’s Pop Songs tally.

The debut chart position matches Madonna’s ‘Frozen’, which also landed at number 16 in 1998, while the only track to earn a higher debut was Mariah Carey’s 1993 hit ‘Dreamlover’, which entered at 12.

“Over the last decade, Britney Spears has had her ups and downs, but every time she drops new music it is an event for the format,” said KHOP program director MoJoe Roberts.

“We often tend to wait for audience research to come back strong to power up certain hits. This, however, is one of those rare tracks, like Katy Perry’s ‘California Gurls’ or Pink’s ‘Raise Your Glass’, that I put right into power rotation after one listen.

“Audience reaction to her new single has been nothing short of amazing. This is another pure pop smash from Ms Spears.”

‘Hold It Against Me’ is also on course to top the official Billboard Hot 100 this week – the 18th track to achieve the feat since chart records began in 1958.

Throwback Friday: Gwen Stefani- "4 in the Morning"

Every Friday I will be posting an old music video which I may have gotten into again during the week. Today, we're dusting off Gwen Stefani's fourth single from her album The Sweet Escape. The song is "4 in the Morning", possibly one of my favorite Gwen songs and sadly one of her most underrated. It reached the Top 10 only in Australia, Finland and New Zealand. Other peaks around the world include #12 in Ireland, #14 in Holland, #17 in Italy and Canada, and #18 in Germany.

Gaga, Perry, Eminem and Spears to Perform at Grammys

http://www.celebritysmackblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/grammys-2010.jpg
Eminem, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and possibly Britney Spears are set to perform at 2011 Grammy Awards.

Grammy Awards attract the biggest and best names to perform on their stage and it looks like this year will be no different. While the actually Grammy Awards show doesn’t air until February 13th, they announced the nominees a few weeks ago and today they confirmed some of the performers who will be on the show. (Eminem, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga plus more)

Leading off the Grammy Awards 2011 performers are Eminem who is also has 10 Grammy nominations this year. Lady Gaga has also confirmed that she will be performing. She too is up for multiple Grammy’s this year with six nominations. Cee Lo Green who had one of the biggest hits of the summer with his song “Fuck You” will take the stage as well. Cee Lo’s song is only a few months old, but it has seen resurgence in popularity in recent weeks when Gwyneth Paltrow did a cover version of it on the hit show Glee. She is now working on collaboration with him and is rumored to be performing with him this weekend on Saturday Night Live.

Rounding out the performers is Katy Perry who has had a stellar year with her sophomore album and is also up for four Grammy’s, Arcade Fire who has three Grammy nods and country star Miranda Lambert who also has three nominations.

There have been rumors that Britney Spears will be performing, but so far there has not been any confirmation to that. Britney is not up for any awards, but her current single “Hold it Against Me” is tearing up the charts and setting records with how much radio airplay it is getting. Her new album comes out in March so a great performance on the Grammys could help keep her momentum up as she heads into the release of her album and the rumored tour that may follow.

Spears and Lavigne go Head-to-Head on iTunes

Britney Spears and Avril Lavigne have taken over iTunes, as their new singles "Hold It Against Me" and "What The Hell" have taken over the #1 and #2 spots respectively on the US iTunes music store. Britney won't need to worry, however, as her sales bar are double those of Avril's. Congrats to both ladies for the success!

Britney Spears Dominates iTunes Around the World

Britney Spears' new single "Hold It Against Me" has hit the #1 spot on iTunes in less than 24 hours, and not just in one but in nearly twenty countries. Including the U.S. Amazing. Congrats to her! I still think the song is weak though, no matter how much I play it to change my mind.

This is what she kept us waiting this long for? Disappointing in so many different levels. I would expect a lead single this weak from Ke$ha, but not from Britney.

New Rihanna Fragrance Ad

It’s a deal that’s been months in the making, but Rihanna is now officially Hollywood’s newest perfumer with the launch of her debut signature scent, Reb’l Fleur.

The end result recalls the star’s Caribbean upbringing with ripe fruits and sumptuous florals, as well as a musky mix of vanilla, patchouli and amber. Reb’l Fleur will begin rolling into department stores in February, priced at $49 for a 1.7 oz. bottle.

American Idol Judges on Entertainment Weekly

American Idol judges Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez, and host Ryan Seacrest take the cover of Entertainment Weekly’s latest issue.

Here’s what the group shared with the mag:

On their predictions for Idol’s 10th season:
Ryan: I think you’ll see some of the youngest talent we’ve ever had compete with some of the oldest talent we’ve ever had.
Jennifer: You may have the youngest winner ever.
Randy: I’m going to go out on a limb. I think a girl’s going to win the show.

On Simon Cowell no longer being with the show:
Randy: Look, it’s definitely been interesting. He’s our friend for life. I don’t know if Steven knows him much, but Jennifer definitely knows him. We’ve all hung out together. So, listen, we definitely miss him, but it’s a different kind of vibe. It’s a different kind of energy now. And I think in season 10 the show actually really needed it.

On the show only producing three superstars - Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood, and Chris Daughtry:
Jennifer: I don’t know that that is such a fair statement. You named three [superstars] in nine years— that’s pretty amazing, that’s 33 percent. We all know that in this business, a 1 percent chance is huge, so I think this show is doing pretty well in that arena. So with addressing that comment, what are we looking for? We’re looking for a recording artist, a pop star, someone who’s a real artist. You can tell that when they walk in, the ones that have that special thing.

Britney Spears- "Hold It Against Me" [Single Cover]

The single cover is nice, but I'm still disappointed by what I heard on the demo. Hopefully the real one sounds better than that demo we got today.

Britney Spears New Single Demo?

Take a listen above to the rumored demo for Britney Spears' new single "Hold It Against Me". Not this is not Britney singing, it's supposedly a demo. BUT, not only does this girl sound like Ke$ha, but it also sounds like a song Ke$ha would sing. Not impressed if this is really Britney's single.
