Now, if you're not into animated films, then your choice this weekend could be the horror movie Drag Me to Hell. Christine Brown (Alison Lohman) is a loan officer with a good job and a promising future. With a promotion up in the air between her and another employee, her boss, Mr. Jacks (David Paymer), advises her that she needs to demonstrate that she can make "the hard calls" and tough decisions. When Mrs. Ganush (Lorna Raver), an elderly Gypsy woman, asks for a third extension on her mortgage, Christine, against her better instincts, denies her in an attempt to prove herself. In desperation, Ganush prostrates herself before Christine, begging and kissing the hem of her skirt. As a crowd of customers and employees gathers, Christine panics and shoves the woman away, gravely insulting her.

That night, in a parking garage, Ganush, enraged and humiliated, exacts revenge by attacking Christine, pulling her out of her car and tearing off one of the buttons on the sleeve of her jacket before using it to place a curse upon her. Shaken by this confrontation, but sure that no further harm will come of it, Christine tries to forget what has happened and move on with her life. But when she arrives home, a mysterious entity that only she can see begins to haunt and torment at all hours. She confides in her boyfriend, Clay Dalton (Justin Long); however, he is too skeptical to believe her stories about terrifying demons.

Album: 21st Century Breakdown

Lady Gaga- "Paparazzi" [Music Video]

Lady Gaga has released the music video for one of her latest singles "Paparazzi" to be released after "LoveGame" off her album The Fame. The video, which runs for over seven minutes is easily one of the best music videos I've seen in the last couple of years. Everything this woman does is to an extreme and it works more than well for her. This music video is simply great (and that's an understatement). It's just something you definitely wouldn't want to miss. GaGa is surely changing Pop music and as it has been said, it will never be the same again. Enjoy!

Katy Perry on the Cover of Complex

Katy Perry appears looking damn sexy on the cover of Complex Magazine, check it out above! Hot stuff.

Jon & Kate Plus 8 Break Ratings Record

The season 5 premiere of Jon & Kate Plus 8 shattered all rating records for TLC. The hour-long episode -- in which tabloid cover queen Kate Gosselin admitted, "I have a lot of anger...this is not what I envisioned for us" -- attracted a whopping 9.8 million viewers, which more than doubled the audience that tuned into the show's season 4 finale in March (4.6 million). Early estimates also reveal that the premiere, which lured unprecedented numbers of women aged 18-34 and women 18-49, was TLC's (and Jon & Kate's) most-watched episode ever. It also trounced the broadcast networks, which aired mostly repeats because of the holiday (an original episode of The Bachelorette on ABC lured 6 million).

Monday's episode focused on the sextuplets' fifth birthday party, but a good deal of it was devoted to tense, one-on-one discussions between an off-camera producer and either Jon or Kate. Without specifically addressing how her husband has been accused of having an affair, the 34-year-old mother of eight spoke candidly about how Jon has "made poor decisions and we have to live with it" and how he "doesn't remind me of the Jon I used to know." For his part, Jon, 32, reiterated that he didn't cheat on his wife and how "people are getting paid off to say whatever they want to say" in the tabloids -- a direct reference to the barrage of press coverage about his late-night liaison with Deanna Hummel, 23. Jon also rued the day when his kids would Google him: "Hopefully, they'll be mature enough to understand it's all crap."

Both parents talked about how they were committed to their children, but they wouldn't address whether a split -- either temporary or permanent -- was in the cards. "I wish I knew," said Kate, when asked what the future holds for them, although she did admit that a group picture taken at the sextuplets' birthday party "could be our last."

"We very swiftly turned into two different people," Kate told the camera. "It's difficult."

David Cook has continued promotion of his Platinum-selling self-titled debut album. This time he appeared to perform his latest single "Come Back to Me" live at Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Great song, enjoy!

Our Lady Peace- "All You Did Was Save My Life"

Our Lady Peace have one of my all-time favorite songs "Somewhere Out There" and now they're back with a new single called "All You Did Was Save My Life", another great song which is the first single released from their upcoming album Burn Burn to hit stores July 21st. Great video too for this song. Enjoy!

Out on the Big Screen Now!

Terminator Salvation is a 2009 American science fiction post-apocalyptic war film released on May 21, 2009 in the United States, June 3, 2009 in the UK, and June 4, 2009 in Australia. Directed by McG, it is the fourth film in the Terminator series and stars Christian Bale as John Connor, before becoming leader of the Resistance, and Sam Worthington as Marcus Wright, a cyborg who believes he is human. It also introduces a young version of the first film's hero, Kyle Reese, played by Anton Yelchin, and depicts the origins of the T-800 Model 101 Terminator, played by Arnold Schwarzenegger and Roland Kickinger. Being both a sequel and a prequel to the previous films, Salvation, set in 2018, focuses on the war between humanity and Skynet. It abandons the time travel element of previous entries in the series, which centered on Terminators and other characters traveling through time to either kill or protect John Connor before the events of Judgment Day unfold.

Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian (named Night at the Museum 2 in the UK) is a 2009 American adventure comedy film and the sequel to the American adventure comedy film Night at the Museum. The film stars Ben Stiller, Robin Williams, Amy Adams and Owen Wilson.

The Winner of American Idol 2009

KRIS ALLEN
Congrats!
-
Who knew? At the beginning of the competition I would have never expected him to win this season, out of all the people there and now the "black horse" is the new American Idol. He deserves it, congrats to Kris.
-
Here's a detailed recap about the finale tonight: it was an O.K. finale, the highlight for me was David Cook's performance of "Permanent" which was probably one of the best overall performances of the past two nights, ha, go figure. It was incredible, he got a standing ovation - enough said. Lil Rounds performed a duet with Queen Latifah, I thought it was damn awful. Jason Mraz came out to sing "I'm Yours", my favorite song of the past year... but I'm a little confused as to why they picked Alexis Grace and Anoop Desai to sing with him instead of Matt Giraud and Megan Joy who fit that genre of music more. Anyway, that performance was good, proved to me that Alexis Grace went home way too soon. Tonight's winner Kris Allen performed a duet with country singer Keith Urban on the song "Kiss a Girl" interesting duet but a great one nonetheless. Later on, Fergie performed "Big Girls Don't Cry" with the five final girls this season. All I have to say is that Megan looked hot and Fergie needs to go back to blonde soon! Following this performance, the Black Eyed Peas came together to perform "Boom Boom Pow". The boring "Idol Awards" continue and 'bikini girl' comes back to kiss Ryan Seacrest again and sing "Vision of Love" for the last time sporting a horrible tan and a noticeable new boob job. That part, I enjoyed very much lol. The shocker came when judge Kara DioGuardi (who called 'bikini girl' a bitch during her audition) popped out of the stairs and took over the song and all I have to say is that she did a terrific job. That woman can sing! Back to this season's finalists, Allison Iraheta performed "Time After Time" with Cindy Lauper then third place finalist Danny Gokey performed a great duet with Lionel Richie. Runner-up Adam Lambert took the stage with KISS for one hell of a collaboration, easily my favorite Adam performance during the whole competition. The final group performance had the Top 13 sing the hit single "Smooth" with the talented Carlos Santana on the electric guitar, Megan Joy and Michael Sarver performed a song called "Pretty Flowers" which was heavy on the banjo with comedian Steve Martin, quite an interesting performance. Finally, both Adam and Kris performed Queen's "We Are the Champions" and shortly after the time to reveal the winner came. All that said, the winner of American Idol 2009 is announced to be Kris Allen. The new Idol then performed the coronation song "No Boundaries".

Mariah Carey Names New Album

Mariah Carey will be releasing a new album towards the end of the year and via her official Twitter page she has announced the name for her new album. Carey states "Bcuz I Love U, I want u to be the first to know the title of my new album "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel" Its very personal & dedicated to u". Interesting title.

Britney Spears- "Radar" Single Cover

Worst single choice of the year right here. Britney Spears has released the single cover for "Radar" fourth song released from her album Circus in stores now. Extremely dissapointed at this single choice.

Beyoncé- "Ego" Single + New DVD Cover

I though it couldn't get worst than "Diva". Beyoncé will release the fifth single from her I Am... Sasha Fierece album which is the song called "Ego" featuring Kanye West. The music video is set to premiere this week but I have to say this song is terrible, imo. But then again, most of the upbeat songs on this album are bad. Check out the official single cover above. Now, below is the cover for her upcoming DVD to hit stores June 16th called Above and Beyoncé Video Collection and Dance Mixes.

David Cook Live at The Ellen DeGeneres Show

American Idol winner David Cook is currently promoting his newest single "Come Back to Me", this time he performed the song live at The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Don't forget, he will perform "Permanent" tonight at the American Idol finale! Can't wait to see that, must be really hard for him to sing that now since his brother has passed.

Lady Gaga Live at Dancing With the Stars

Lady Gaga performed her new single "LoveGame" at the season finale of Dancing With the Stars where 17 year-old Shawn Johnson walked away as the winner this season beating out actor Gilles Marini with less than a 1% difference in votes. Whoa! That's reportedly the closest finale ever in the show's history. Check out GaGa's performance and Congrats to the winners!!

Carrie Underwood Live at American Idol

Hopefully we'll get to see the full performance of this one! Carrie Underwood took the stage last night on American Idol to perform this season's goodbye song "Home Sweet Home" and because the show ran a little long her performance was cut off without it being finished. That got me angry, haha. All I'm saying is that we better get to see the full perfomance soon. For now, enjoy what we have.

Carrie Underwood Update!

As we all know, Carrie Underwood is in the process of working on the new album due out this fall! Exclusive Look at Idol Finalists Rehearsing

I posted some pictures yesterday, but here's something better. American Idol finalist Michael Sarver took it on his own to make a exclusive look video at what the eleven Idol finalists do during their break at rehearsals for the upcoming Season Finale show - not the Tour like I had said yesterday. In the video we see every finalist except Kris Allen and Adam Lambert who are still competing. The Summer Tour will feature the Top Ten finalists only: Michael Sarver, Megan Joy, Scott MacIntyre, Lil Rounds, Anoop Desai, Matt Giraud, Allison Irheta, Danny Gokey and of course Adam and Kris leaving out Alexis Grace, Jorge Nunez and Jasmine Murray. Check out the video above! Thanks to Michael for that.

Linkin Park New Single Cover

Linkin Park has recorded the lead single to be released from the original motion picture soundtrack of one of this summer's most anticipated films Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. The song is called "New Divide" and will hit radios on May 18th! Can't wait to hear the song. As we all know, their single "What I've Done" was used to promote the first Transformers film in 2007.

Happy Birthday to The Best Damn Blog!

It's been two years already? Gee, how time flies! Today, May 16, 2009 The Best Damn Blog has completed two full years running online and I could not be happier with how the blog has developed over the last two years. First of all and most importantly, I want to thank every single person who visits and enjoys this blog, especially those who have visited the blog since May 2007 and continue to do so today. I could not be more thankful for every visit, it honestly means a lot to me. In two years, the blog has been visited about 400,000 times which is more than I could ask for. Sure, some blogs get those visits in a matter of two or three months, but heck, I'm happy with my numbers and I get a kick of seeing the blog slowly become more popular. I'll tell you that this blog started off with around 50 visitors a day and it's my pleasure to say that currently I am receiving an average of 1,000 visitors daily. Amazing! Before I forget, another special thanks to the people who take the time to leave comments and share your opinions and points of view! Not only does it put a smile on my face but it inspires me to continue working hard on this blog. All in all, it is my hope that the blog continues to improve and continue to bring all of you pleasure and at least five minutes of entertainment a day. Once again, thank you all and here's to another year of success!

American Idol Top 3: Results + Studio Recordings

Eliminated:
Danny Gokey

Final Two:
Adam Lambert & Kris Allen
-
I think it was pretty clear Danny would go home today, especially after that scary ass scream at the end of his performance last week, which still has me wondering why in the world he did that, lmao. My early guess is that Adam Lambert will be the winner this season on American Idol but I still have a really hard time seeing him as a recording artist. I simply don't hear him on the radio or being very commercial at all. Kris, on the other hand, has all that - but I still don't see him becoming a success in the area of Kelly Clarkson or Carrie Underwood, and on top, the hype around Kris is not nearly as big as Adam's. The only negative point working against Adam is his sexual orientation and the pictures that Adam-haters are promoting online which show him as a Drag Queen and kissing other men. As we all know, next week is the finale and we will have a new American Idol.

America's Next Top Model is...

I did not cover this season of America's Next Top Model because I thought I'd give it a break for a season, I've been doing it since Cycle 9 so I took a little break. The season's finale was tonight and once again I was dissapointed with the winner. Yes, at the beginning of this season I thought Teyona looked promising and I knew she would be a finalist but at the same time, Allison kept catching my eye and my attention more and more every week. On tonight's episode it was clear to me that Allison had done enough to walk home as America's Next Top Model, she had it all in the end, but Tyra and her gang decided to pick Teyona instead for reasons they only know. I must say, however, that those two girls were definitely the strongest this season, but again, I would have preferred to see Allison walk away with the title. Tomorrow I will be posting the CoverGirl shots from the final three contestants.

About next season, here's something interesting: all the models will be 5'7" or shorter making Cycle 13 officially a "short model cycle". Ha, that should be interesting. Also, expect to see either a new judge because Paulina Porizkova has been fired from the show. Maybe she'll get replaced or maybe we'll see only three judges next season. Who knows.
Allison (Runner-Up):

Carrie Underwood Achieves 10th #1 Single

Carrie Becomes the First Country Artist in History to Achieve 10 #1 Singles from Their First Two Albums!

“I Told You So” Today Marks Her 10th #1 Single with Album Sales Already Topping 10 Million!

Nashville, TN – She’s sold more than 10 million albums with her first two records alone, and now Carrie Underwood hits another milestone 10 as her current smash, “I Told You So,” becomes her 10th single to top a key sales or airplay chart. The accomplishment makes the four-time GRAMMY winner the first country artist in history ever to achieve 10 #1 singles on the strength of their first two albums.

This week’s #1 country airplay blockbuster also marks the fifth consecutive chart-topper from Carrie’s Carnival Ride album, which includes “Just a Dream” and three hits Carrie co-wrote: “So Small,” “All-American Girl,” and “Last Name.”

The newly crowned ACM Entertainer of the Year and three-time reigning ACM and CMA Female Vocalist accomplishes the rare feat of taking a former #1 song to the top of the country charts a second time – 21 years after Randy Travis first saw his composition hit the chart summit. She becomes the first country artist to return a song to #1 since Alan Jackson took the Don Williams classic, “It Must Be Love,” back to the top nearly nine years ago.

In addition to her original recording of “I Told You So” on Carnival Ride, fans can also enjoy a special studio duet of the song, currently available as a digital single, featuring Carrie with Randy Travis.

The only American Idol winner ever to achieve 10 #1 hits, Underwood’s collection of chart-toppers began with the instant success of her post-American Idol single, “Inside Your Heaven,” which debuted atop Billboard’s Hot 100 chart in the summer of 2005. It was the first of five #1s to top the BDS or Mediabase charts from her 7x-Platinum debut, Some Hearts, with the others including the GRAMMY-winning “Jesus, Take the Wheel” and “Before He Cheats,” as well as “Don’t Forget to Remember Me” and “Wasted.”

And in a bit of Carrie trivia, 10 continues to be a lucky number for Carrie. Her birthday is March 10, and just two weeks after her American Idol win in 2005, she made her debut on the Grand Ole Opry on the 10th of June and later became a member of the Opry with her official induction on May 10, 2008.

Heidi Montag- "Blackout" [Music Video]

I'm actually pretty damn embarrased to post this video because, well, it is that bad. Heidi Montag, who likes to call herself a singer, has released a new "music video" for her song "Blackout" directed by her dick of a husband Spencer Pratt. The reason why I'm posting it is because it is so bad I couldn't resist to talk trash about it. Watch the video to see Montag make a fool of herself and if you're looking for a good laugh this is the video to see. Enjoy!!! (I must say, however, that she does look damn hot in that bikini)

Britney Spears has announced that the fourth single from her album Circus (and Blackout) will be the song "Radar". The reason why I included Blackout in parenthesis is because the song is also found on that album, just a slightly different version. I like the song, but honestly... there is a lot of better material in Britney's new album and I can't believe they haven't gone with a ballad instead, she has not released a hit ballad in years! Hopefully the next one will be "Unusual You". Check out "Radar" above for those who have not heard it yet.

Out in Theatres Now!

Out on the big screen right now is another of this year's most awaited-for films, Star Trek which features on the main characters of the original Star Trek series, who are portrayed by a new cast, though the film introduces a retroactively altered timeline which changes the events of the original series and the previous movies. It explores the backstories of James T. Kirk (Chris Pine) and Spock (Zachary Quinto), before they unite aboard the USS Enterprise to combat Nero (Eric Bana), a Romulan from the future who threatens the United Federation of Planets. Sounds good! Can't wait to see this one.

Taylor Swift- Live @ Paul O'Grandy

Taylor Swift performed her hit single "Teardrops on My Guitar" live at the Paul O'Grandy show. Great performance, although I'm wondering why she did not perform her new single "You Belong With Me" instead. Enjoy!

Rihanna Naked Pictures Leak

I return a little early from a trip to NY and I find that poor Rihanna can't seem to get a break lately. First, she's involved in the biggest scandal of her career yet. She was physically assaulted by her then-boyfriend Chris Brown and now some pictures of the singer have hit the web where she is seen completely nude. I wonder if Chris Brown has something to do with this? To see the pictures, click here. Open at your own risk.

American Idol Top 4 Results

There were only four contestants left so a bottom three was obviously not announced. Instead, the results were delivered in random order, what we do know is that the person that received the lowest amount of votes was Allison Iraheta who was sent home tonight during Idol. This leaves the final three to be Adam Lambert, Danny Gokey and Kris Allen. I believe this is the first time in Idol history that three men make up the final three. Next week the remaining contestants sing two songs each, one is the judge's pick and the other their own choice. Should be interesting.
