New Michael Jackson Album Due in November

It looks like there will be new Michael Jackson music in time for Christmas. A 10 song collection of material left behind after his untimely death last year is set to hit stores in November 2010 according to Rolling Stone. Among the songs included will be tracks recorded in 1996 with will.i.am and recordings that didn't make the cut for 1987's Bad album. This album is the first in a $250 million ten album, seven year deal that the Michael Jackson estate made with Sony BMG in March of this year. Rodney Jerkins, the producer of Michael Jackson's 2001 album Invincible, is expected to be the primary producer on this project.

David Archuleta's Album Pushed Back

After a weak debut with his first single "Something 'Bout Love" last week, David Archuleta's upcoming album The Other Side Down has been pushed back from a September release to October.

His website reads:

"We’d like you all to be the first to know that the release date for The Other Side of Down has changed. It will now be coming on October 5th. Like the last time we dealt with a date change, this one is definitely for the best. David would like to make sure he’s delivering the best possible album and he needs just a little more time to do it."

Not good.

Kara DioGuardi Not Coming Back to American Idol

According to TMZ.com, Kara DioGuardi has been fired from FOX's hit show.

Although the songwriter apparently was given the pink slip, DeGeneres made the decision on her own to leave the talent show immediately, opting out of the remainder of a four-year contract.

With DeGeneres out, Jennifer Lopez is reportedly close to signing a deal to take over the empty seat, a person familiar with the negotiations told The Associated Press.

But that's not the only big change in store for "Idol."

If all deals go as planned, the reality show reportedly will revert to its original three-judge format, consisting of Lopez, Steve Tyler (Aerosmith) and original judge Randy Jackson.

Well, okay then.

Ellen DeGeneres Quits American Idol!

Ellen DeGeneres has just announced that she is leaving American Idol and won't return next season as a judge.

The talk show host and comedian released the following statement, explaining her decision:

"A couple months ago, I let FOX and the "American Idol" producers know that this didn't feel like the right fit for me. I told them I wouldn't leave them in a bind and that I would hold off on doing anything until they were able to figure out where they wanted to take the panel next. It was a difficult decision to make, but my work schedule became more than I bargained for. I also realized this season that while I love discovering, supporting and nurturing young talent, it was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings. I loved the experience working on "Idol" and I am very grateful for the year I had. I am a huge fan of the show and will continue to be."

- The show lost tough mean guy and the comedic relief. American Idol is officially dead! I'll be surprised if they bring it back beyond Season 10.

Looks like Paris Hilton will be releasing a sophomore album, whether we like it or not. The "singer" took it to her Twitter account to announce that she's shooting a new music video, likely the first single from the album. She sent out these other tweets later on:

Eminem Scores Fifth Week at #1

Eminem makes it five weeks in a row at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 as "Recovery" sells another 187,000 (down just 4%), according to Nielsen SoundScan. Rick Ross' "Teflon Don" arrives in the runner-up spot with 176,000. Ross' last three studio albums all debuted at No. 1, with his last set, 2009's "Deeper Than Rap," arriving with 158,000. The opener for "Teflon" is Ross' best sales week since 2008's "Trilla" arrived with 198,000.

The Billboard 200's second-highest debut is Sheryl Crow's "100 Miles From Memphis," which starts at No. 3 with 55,000. It's the singer's eighth top 10 album. All of her releases—save for one live set from 1999—have reached the top 10. The singer/songwriter's last effort, "Detours," debuted and peaked at No. 2 with 92,000 in 2008. It was her fourth set to peak at No. 2; she has yet to claim a No. 1 album.

The Cast of The Avengers Revealed at Comic-Con

Comic book fans no longer have to imagine what it might be like to see all their favorite superheroes in one place.

They got the chance Saturday at Comic-Con, when the cast of the forthcoming “Avengers” film took the stage. Samuel L. Jackson who plays Nick Fury, surprised some 6,000 fans gathered for a Marvel Studios presentation when he stepped out just as it was ending and started introducing the cast of “The Avengers.”

Jackson brought out stars Clark Gregg as Agent Phil Coulson, Scarlett Johannson as The Black Widow, Chris Hemsworth as Thor and Chris Evans as Captain America.

He then introduced another surprise guest, Robert Downey Jr. who plays "Iron Man" and brought out the rest of the all-star cast, including Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye and Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk.

“The Avengers” is based on the comic book series of the same name, which brings various Marvel superheroes together.

The film is due in 2012

Megan Fox to Star in Eminem's New Music Video

Megan Fox reportedly filmed a cameo in Eminem and Rihanna’s new music video yesterday.

The beautiful star is apparently appearing alongside Lost actor and former hobbit Dominic Monaghan in the promo for "Love The Way You Lie".

It’s claimed they’ll play a couple in steamy scenes as Ri’ and Em’ burn a house down!

A source told E! Online: “Things start off with a sex scene between Megan and Dominic, Then they fight but end up having sex again.”

Joseph Kahn- responsible for previous Em’, Pussycat Dolls and Muse videos- is directing "Love The Way You Lie" and has been shooting all week.

Nickelodeon's Fairly Oddparents Live Action Movie

The Fairly Oddparents Movie is coming– and it’s called A Fairly Odd Movie: Grow Up, Timmy Turner!

Thanks to TVGuide, we now know just a bit more about the made-for-TV movie which stars Drake Bell and Daniella Monet.

The animated series focused on 10-year-old Timmy’s refusal to grow up, so he could keep his fairy godparents so in the movie, an older Timmy (Drake Bell) is still in the fifth grade and living at home.

Now it’s all changing when he begins to have feelings for Tootie (Daniella Monet), a nerdy girl who has grown into a beautiful woman and returned to town. Now Timmy must make a choice between his godparents or growing up and being in love.

Steven Weber also stars as a larger-than-life oil tycoon, who turns his attention to capturing Timmy’s fairies and using their power to fuel his maniacal ambition. The movie is set to debut on Nickelodeon in 2011.

Christina Aguilera- "You Lost Me" [Music Video]

Check out the music video for Christina Aguilera's new single "You Lost Me". The video is in bad quality, but you can still see it pretty well. The HD version will premiere later today on VEVO.com. So, about the video, I have to say that I expected a lot more, I think it's pretty boring. She does look good though, so I'll give her that. But I'm disappointed.

Carrie Underwood's 13th Consecutive #1!

Country radio sure do love them some Carrie Underwood! Her latest single "Undo It" becomes her 13th single to top a key sales or airplay chart. Carrie has scored a total of thirteen number one songs both on Billboard and R&R meaning none of her singles released to date have missed the top spot!

I'm sure this is some kind of record now, isn't it? It's amazing.

Carrie also has another reason to celebrate! Her debut album Some Hearts, released in 2005, has just crossed the seven million copies sold in the U.S., according to Nielsen SoundScan. That makes it the first album from an American Idol alumnus to reach the septuple-platinum plateau. It also remains the second best-selling album of the past five years.

Update:
Painted by artist Will Cotton, Perry appears nude on top of a cotton candy cloud –much like she does in the video for the album’s lead single, “California Gurls”. The painting is all you get when you buy the album. Katy says there will be no words added to it. No name and no album title. There will, however, be the delightful scent of cotton candy on the pages of the booklet.

Perry made the big reveal on Ustream today (July 21), and said that just in case CDs are extinct soon, she wanted to go out with a bang. Teenage Dream is in stores August 24.

On growing up: “I was essentially a dwarf with the biggest mouth in the world. I would talk back to anyone and be up for any fight, and when you tell a kid that’s three years older than you to shove it, you’re going to get your ass beat…I was a real punk, there’s no question about it.”

On partying in the pre-tabloid/blog age: “I got to be wild and nuts, and I didn’t suffer as much as people do now, where they have to play it so safe that they ruin their credibility. I didn’t care what anyone thought…. It was also about avoiding the tornado of chaos, of potential downfall. It was, ‘Wow, how lucky are we to not have hung out with that crowd or done those things?’ My two main competitors in the beginning, the blond-haired kids I went to audition with, one hung himself and the other died of a heroin overdose… . I was never into drugs at all. There aren’t stories of me in a pool of my own vomit in a hotel room on the Hollywood Strip.”

On dealing with his Titanic fame: “It was like there was a separate entity out there. Not to use a James Cameron reference, but it was like being in a little bit of an avatar. (cringes) That’s going to sound extremely self-indulgent. It’s going to sound like, ‘Oh, I was a frickin’ avatar,’ give me a break, I’m already vomiting.”
