Miley Cyrus on Billboard Magazine
Miley Cyrus holds up a giant “M” on the cover of Billboard magazine. The 17-year-old pop star chatted with the mag about her new music video, Glee and not listening to any pop music. Check it:
On her music video for “Can’t Be Tamed:” Before the video debuted Cyrus told Billboard, “You’re going to, like, die when you see the birdcage in the video because it’s so crazy. I’ve got, like, 30 dancers in there and a tree and a nest. Literally, it’s out of control. I’m definitely going to be doing a lot more stuff like that.”
On her own musical tastes: “I listen to zero pop music, which is really weird for someone who makes pop music. My 13-year-old self would have beaten up my 17-year-old self because she would be like, ‘You’re a sellout!’ But that’s not what it is. It’s not dance music that’s just about, ‘Ooh, I’m in the club and everyone’s looking at me.’ It means something. I’m not just sitting here trying to sell glitz and glamour . . . because no one lives that life. A lot of [pop] songs are super shallow, but this music isn’t.”
On her inspirations: “With anything—the clothes I wear or the way I want to look— I don’t plan it. Even with the video [ for 'Can’t Be Tamed'] I had the treatment, but beyond that, it was whatever comes. We didn’t have all the choreography set in stone because I didn’t want it to end up looking fake and polished. Everything in life has to come naturally or I feel like it’s just been done.”
On Glee: “Honestly, musicals? I just can’t. What if this was real life and I was just walking down the street on Rodeo Drive and all of a sudden I just burst into song about how much I love shoes? (laughs) It would get hits on YouTube.”

The plot follows Dastan (Jake Gyllenhaal), a street urchin in the Persian Empire in the sixth century. After showing courage in the market place, he is adopted by the king. He grows up as part of the royal family with "no royal blood and no eye for the throne." Dastan leads a attack to a city ruled by a princess who is said to be a jewel. He manages to open the main gate and prevents further casualties from both sides. Later on, he teams up with Princess Tamina (Gemma Arterton) to stop a common enemy - the villainous nobleman Nizam (Ben Kingsley) - and to take from him an ancient dagger known as "The Dagger of Time" (a valuable dagger which gives to its owner the ability to go back in time for short periods and change the past) and keep him from generating a sandstorm which could destroy the world.

The Winner of American Idol 2010 Is...
Congrats:LEE DeWYZE
Tonight's American Idol Season 9 finale was better than previous years probably because it is Simon Cowell's last. Everything was pretty good... except for that Dane Cook performance which was hijacked by an Idol reject. Dane later tweeted that his performance was "Kanye'd" and that "it was not staged." I feel bad for Dane.
Anyway, on to other performances, I think Kris Allen was first up performing his new single "The Truth." Good song, but right now... two hours later, I can hardly remember it. Christina Aguilera performing "You Lost Me" was great; I even liked her intro number with the Top 6 girls, and I usually hate group performances. Later on Carrie Underwood performed her single "Undo It", she's always great live, although tonight she seemed to be short of breath cause by her dancing around the stage. Janet Jackson also performed closer to the end, got a standing ovation. Alanis Morisette performed a duet with Crystal Bowersox; Alanis owned it. Lee DeWyze and Chicago performed a pretty boring collaboration, Casey James performed a duet with Celebrity Apprentice winner Brett Michaels! I bow down to Brett. What a fighter. and what would be American Idol this season without two of its most recognized rejects? Gen. Larry Pratt and William Hung performed "Pants on the Ground". We all knew that was coming.
I left this performance for last: the American Idol winners and previous contestants singing for Simon Cowell. It was pretty perfect and it got Simon emotional. Although I wish Chris Daughtry and David Cook were there. Others notably missing from that group performance were Adam Lambert, Kellie Pickler and Jennifer Hudson. Someone correct me if they were there and I missed them.
About Simon's departure, my honest opinion is that this show will crash and burn without him. Can't wait to see him bringing The X Factor to the States! I'm glad we haven't seen the last of him yet.
The question now is: where is the female talent in America? No girl has taken the American Idol title since Jordin Sparks won Season 6! According to Randy, this year was supposed to be the "year of the girls" but when the Top 5 came around, there was only one female left. Lee is the third male winner in a row and fifth overall.
Now, to end my long ass post and before the Crystal fans jump out to say her title was unfairly stolen, it was not, and here is why:
1. Everyone's been saying it, and it's true; Crystal peaked too early on in the competition. Since Top 24 week everyone had her as "the one to beat" and she kept improving week after week until there was just no more room for her to improve and shine over the rest. To me, she started to fade away a little since Top 7 week, and while Crystal was losing steam, Lee began to show huge improvement. There's also no denying he showed the most growth out of any contestant this season and although his nerves got the best of him last night, he walked into the finale with huge stamina built up from his two performances last week, which I believe were the determining factor.
2. Crystal may have also lost because she's not as commercial as Lee. Yes, the girl has huge talent, but in all honesty, I do not hear a song of hers on the radio. She's the more gospel/blues kind of singer while Lee fits in the rock/pop genre, which obviously, has more fans. Easy.
3. Finally, their personalities also come into play. I have to say that to me, these two have been the most boring final two in Idol history. However, Crystal gave off a little bit of a cocky attitude to me some times, and last night, her failed attempt to cry after the last performance seemed really forced. On top, after every performance she rambled on about the most random things. Whereas Lee has been more humble, more appreciative and more down to earth throughout the competition. Just take a look at the final moment before the winner was announced. Crystal was laughing it off, almost as if she was confident she was going to win, while Lee looked like he was about to lose his lunch. Dude was nervous as hell. And it's great he shows it.
Overall, pretty boring season, I'm glad the better contestant won. I'm done rambling. Can't wait for The X Factor. American Idol is done for me.

Christina Aguilera Cancels Summer Tour
Christina Aguilera has canceled her plans for a summer concert tour, which was supposed to kick off in July. Her rep says, “Christina Aguilera’s summer tour has been moved to 2011 due to prior commitments that the singer had made to her film, Burlesque, and to the promotion of her new album, Bionic. The singer felt she needed more time to rehearse the show and with less than a month between the album release and tour date this wasn’t possible.”
Christina will still release her new album Bionic on June 8.
They can give all the excuses they want, we know the reason they canceled the tour is because Christina is having a pretty weak comeback and ticket sales are probably pretty disappointing.

American Idol Finale Promises Teary Goodbye
Whether Crystal Bowersox or Lee DeWyze wins American Idol on Wednesday night, one thing's for sure: The tears will be flowing. It is, after all, judge Simon Cowell's last day on the job, and many of his favorite Idol alumni are en route to L.A. to wish him a fond farewell. Among them: Taylor Hicks, who will be joining Elliott Yamin for a duet (per Elliott's tweet, earlier Monday). Season 4 finalists and former roommates Constantine Maroulis and Bo Bice are both in town, and, as previously announced, Carrie Underwood will perform. Non-Idol acts rumored to be taking the stage include Hall & Oates and Janet Jackson. And could a Melissa Etheridge duet be back on the table? We hear whispers but have not been able to confirm. How about Paula Abdul? There's lots of chatter on that.
Here's what we do know: Season 8 winner Kris Allen will be performing, but runner-up Adam Lambert won't. Christina Aguilera and Enrique Iglesias are also on the bill, as is some sort of goodbye package/performance in honor of the man we love to hate.
For now, check out a preamble posted on Americanidol.com earlier Monday, which features a slew of mentors, guests and ex-Idols. - Idol Tracker

But Hewitt's co-star and ex-boyfriend Jamie Kennedy has revealed there is still "life" in the programme after ABC chiefs expressed interest in picking up Ghost Whisperer for its future schedule.
He says, "They are talking about it, so that's cool. We haven't exactly gone into the light, we haven't crossed over, but we've got some life."

Nicole Scherzinger New Single
Nicole Scherzinger will be performing her new single live at the Dancing with the Stars finale, and we can take a listen to it now above. The song is titled "Nobody Can Change Me". Eh, I don't like it at all. I think she's going to struggle to release that solo album again. If "Baby Love" couldn't score her a hit few years ago, then this single definitely won't do it for her.

Glee Already Picked Up for Third Season
Glee hasn’t even finished off its first season but Fox has already ordered a third season!Said Fox Entertainment President Kevin Reilly to EW, “Everything about Glee – from the concept to the characters to the marketing – has been innovative and risky, but with [series creator] Ryan Murphy tapping into the zeitgeist, the risk has paid off with this truly remarkable series. Glee has one of the most active, devoted fan bases I’ve ever seen, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to give Gleeks a third season of their favorite show.”
Ryan added, “It’s been a whirlwind year – from shooting the pilot to performing at the White House to the concert tour that began last week – and yet we all feel like we’ve just begun this amazing musical journey. We think our Gleeks worldwide are going to love what we’ll have in store for them in seasons two and three.”

Avril Lavigne on Inked Magazine
On Deryck:"We celebrated his 30th birthday together. It was a big one and I was like, 'Lets get 30 tattoos. I will if you will.'"
On fan tattoos:
"I've seen people with my portrait, and some people put my name on them after I sign my autograph. I signed one girl's ass and she tattooed it. I was like, 'Ooh, I better do a really good job!'"
On future tats:
"I want to get a big-ass-motherf*****g tattoo on my forearm. I'm going to wait a few years and make sure I still want it then. I have to wait for that special someone to come back into my life. I want to do a big-ass heart with a flag through it with a name. I want it to be a huge experience and statement."

Lauren Conrad's New Book Cover
Lauren Conrad tells PEOPLE exclusively that her new tome was, in fact, inspired by all of her fans. “The first book tour I went on, I had the opportunity to meet thousands and thousands of fans. The majority of the questions were about fashion,” explains Conrad. “It was fun to share all the things I had learned.” So what will you see in Lauren Conrad Style? Besides tons of never-before-seen photos and relatable advice from Conrad herself along with her glam squad, expect “personal stories, live and learn stories,” and yes, even “a couple of high school horror stories.” While Conrad does find wearing cocktail dresses on the red carpet easier than dressing for everyday life, she devotes chapters to every occasion, even deciphering dress codes like the dreaded business casual. Her must-tip: don’t be afraid to take your pieces to a tailor to achieve your perfect fit. “Most of the things I buy are tailored,” she dishes, emphasizing the importance of finding your best fit instead of just following trends. Lauren Conrad Style will hit bookshelves on October 5, 2010, the same date as her third novel Sugar & Spice.

Grey's Anatomy Season Finale Pulls Huge Ratings
The shocking season finale of Grey’s Anatomy last night pulled in a massive 15.0 million viewers.“It hurt to write this finale. It literally hurt me. Because in order to write these episodes, I had to walk in the shoes of Gary Clark,” series creator Shona Rhimes wrote on her blog. ” I had to think like a shooter. A person who would shoot Reed and Alex and Charles. A person who would shoot Derek. By the time I finished writing part one, I was sick. And depressed.” -

Shrek Forever After: Out Now!
After all of his adventures, Shrek (Mike Myers) has become a domesticated family ogre. Instead of scaring villagers away as he used to, Shrek agrees to autograph pitchforks. Longing for the days when he felt like a "real ogre", Shrek is tricked into signing a pact with the smooth-talking deal maker, Rumpelstiltskin (Walt Dohrn), who offers Shrek a day where everything will be as if his adventures had never happened. Shrek can't resist the offer- all he wanted was a day off to relax, to be a real ogre again. However, to get a day off, Shrek needs to give up a day from his childhood. However, after signing the contract, Shrek soon discovers he has been tricked: the day that he unwittingly gave away was the day he was born.Having never existed, Shrek finds himself in a twisted, alternate version of Far Far Away, where Rumpelstiltskin is now king (because King Harold and Queen Lillian were originally going to give him the kingdom in exchange for him ending Fiona's curse, but refused after getting news that Shrek had rescued Fiona); ogres are hunted; Donkey (Eddie Murphy) has never met Shrek, is forced into cart-pulling duty and fears him; Gingy (Conrad Vernon) is a gladiator fighting animal crackers; Puss in Boots (Antonio Banderas) has become fat and lazy; and Fiona (Cameron Diaz) is still under her curse from the first movie (to become human by day and ogress by night until she receives "True Love's Kiss"), can't stand Shrek, and has become the leader of an underground resistance of other hunted ogres.
But even though all seems lost, there's still hope - if Shrek shares "True Love's Kiss" with Fiona by the sunrise of the next day, the contract he signed will be rendered null and void and the original timeline will be restored. However, Rumpelstiltskin will do anything to stop Shrek and solidify the power he now has.
